과천시가 ‘환경사업소 입지 관련 민관대책위원회’(이하, 대책위)와 함께 국토부 및 LH 등 관계기관과 협의, 행정절차법에서 규정하고 있는 절차에 따라 시민 의견 수렴을 통한 최적의 입지 선정을 위해 조속한 시일 내에 시민 공청회를 추진할 것이라고 7월 20일 밝혔다.

대책위는 환경사업소 이전 문제 해결 방안을 다각도로 모색하기 위해 지난 7일, 주민들과 함께 하남시의 하수처리시설인 ‘유니온파크’ 견학을 다녀왔으며, 대책위 회의를 열고 환경사업소 이전과 관련한 문제를 폭넓게 논의해왔다.

과천시와 대책위에서는 환경사업소의 시설 노후화와 하수처리 용량 한계의 문제 해결이 시급하다는 데에 의견을 모으고, 행정절차법에 따른 시민 공청회를 조속히 관계기관과 협의하여 추진할 예정이다.
