서울소년원(원장 이영호, 고봉중고등학교)이 11월 22일 경기도와 의왕시 협찬으로 드림월드필하모니오케스트라를 초청, 고봉중·고등학생들을 대상으로 ‘시선집중 MUSIC GO!’를 개최했다.
이번 음악회는 의왕시의 찾아가는 문화활동 공연 프로그램의 일환으로 평소 클래식 음악을 접할 기회가 없었던 소년원 학생에게 건전한 문화체험과 정서 함양을 도모하기 위해 열렸다.
드림월드필하모니 오케스트라 장명근 상임지휘자를 포함한 8명의 오케스트라 단원은 다양한 악기로 헝가리 무곡 등 클래식 곡과 오페라의 유령, 하울의 움직이는 성 등 학생들에게 익숙한 음악을 공연했다.
이번 음악회를 관람한 고등반 A군은“자주 보던 영화나 드라마에서 듣던 음악이 클래식이라는 것을 이번 기회에 알게 되어 좋았다”고 말했다.
이영호 서울소년원장은 “소년원 학생들에게 감동을 선사하고 멋진 무대를 보여주신 드림월드필하모니오케스트라 관계자분들께 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 서울소년원은 다양한 문화향유의 기회를 제공하여, 심성순화를 돕고 건전한 사회일원이 되도록 지도해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

On November 22, Seoul Youth Center (Director Youngho Lee, Gobong Middle and High School) invited Dream World Philharmonic Orchestra, sponsored by Gyeonggi-do and Uiwang-si, and held ‘MUSIC GO!’ targeting Gobong middle and high school students.
This concert was held as part of Uiwang City's visiting cultural activity performance program to promote sound cultural experience and emotional cultivation for juvenile detention students who did not have the opportunity to experience classical music.
Dream World Philharmonic Orchestra Eight members of the orchestra, including chief conductor Jang Myeong-geun, performed classical songs such as Hungarian dances, as well as music familiar to students, such as The Phantom of the Opera and Howl's Moving Castle, using various instruments.
