군포시(시장 하은호)와 군포시지역사회보장협의체(민간위원장 윤호종)가 지난 9월 7일 군포시청 대회의실에서 ‘2023년 사회복지의 날 기념행사’를 개최했다.

사회복지의 날(9월 7일)은 1999년 9월 7일 국민기초생활보장제도 시행을 기념하여 사회복지에 대한 국민의 이해를 돕고 사회복지 종사자를 격려하기 위해 지정된 법정기념일이다.

다양한 분야의 사회복지 관련 종사자와 시민 등 약 200여명이 참석한 가운데 1부, 2부로 나눠 진행된 이날 행사는 지역사회 복지발전에 기여한 사회복지 종사자들의 사기를 진작시키고, 민관의 화합을 위해 마련됐다.

1부 기념식은 축하공연, 유공자 포상, 축사, 사회복지사업 윤리선언문 낭독 순으로 진행됐으며, 사회복지 유공자 13명에 대해 군포시장, 군포시의회 의장, 국회의원 표창이 수여됐다.

2부에서는 최창호 사회심리학 박사가 ‘무엇이 사람을 움직이는가’라는 주제로 공감·협력을 통해 서로 신뢰하는 방법에 대한 특강을 했다.

하은호 군포시장은 격려사에서 “지난 3~4년간 코로나19와 지난해 집중호우로 발생한 재난 상황 등으로 어려움이 많았지만 항상 복지의 최일선에서 사회복지 종사자들의 헌신과 사명감이 있었기에 위기를 잘 극복할 수 있었다”며, “앞으로도 시민들의 권익과 복지가 증진될 수 있도록 현장의 목소리에 귀기울이면서 지원과 협력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

윤호종 군포시지역사회보장협의체 민간위원장은 “민·관협력과 함께 기관 상호 간 민·민협력도 군포시민의 복지향상을 위한 필수 요소이며, 지역사회의 다양한 욕구와 급격한 변화에 신속하게 대응하기 위해서는 전문성을 갖춘 사회복지사들이 자긍심을 갖고 일할 수 있는 환경이 필요하다”고 말했다.

한편 군포시 대회의실에서는 기념식에 이어 이날 오후 3시 30분부터 사회복지 주간행사로 각 동 지역사회보장 협의체 위원들과 시민들이 모여 ‘군포형 마을중심 통합돌봄체계 구축 토론회’가 진행되어 다양한 계층의 복지 수요 증가에 따른 마을중심의 돌봄서비스 방안을 함께 모색했다.

군포시는 사회복지 주간(9.7~9.14)을 맞아 사회복지 종사자들을 위한 힐링프로그램과 군포시민 온라인 의견 참여 이벤트 “내가 누리고 싶은 군포복지는?”을 진행한다.

Social Welfare Day (September 7) is a legal anniversary designated to commemorate the implementation of the National Basic Living Security System on September 7, 1999, to help the public understand social welfare and to encourage social welfare workers.

The event, which was divided into Part 1 and Part 2 with the attendance of about 200 people, including social welfare workers and citizens from various fields, was designed to boost the morale of social welfare workers who contributed to the development of community welfare and to promote harmony between the public and private sectors.

The first part of the commemorative ceremony consisted of a congratulatory performance, awards for meritorious persons, congratulatory remarks, and reading of the Declaration of Ethics for Social Welfare Work, and commendations from the Gunpo Mayor, Gunpo City Council Chairman, and National Assembly Member were awarded to 13 people who had contributed to social welfare.

In Part 2, Dr. Choi Chang-ho of social psychology gave a special lecture on how to trust each other through empathy and cooperation under the topic of ‘What moves people?’

In his encouraging speech, Gunpo Mayor Ha Eun-ho said, “There have been many difficulties over the past three to four years due to COVID-19 and the disaster situation caused by heavy rain last year, but we were able to overcome the crisis well because of the dedication and sense of duty of social welfare workers who have always been at the forefront of welfare.” “We will continue to listen to voices from the field and spare no effort in providing support and cooperation so that the rights and welfare of citizens can be promoted,” he said.
