안양시가 주민자치위원들의 역량 강화를 위한 1박2일 워크숍을 개최했다.

안양시는 지난 5월 2일부터 3일까지 충남 예산군 소재 리조트 ‘스플라스 리솜’에서 ‘2024년 주민자치위원 역량강화 워크숍’을 개최했다.

안양시 관내 31개 동 가운데 2개의 시범 운영되고 있는 주민자치회와 29개의 주민자치위원회 위원들은 풀뿌리 민주주의의 가장 기초가 되는 단체로서, 주민자치센터 프로그램 운영 등의 역할을 하며 주민을 대변하고 지역발전을 위해 봉사하고 있다.

이번 워크숍에는 주민자치위원장 및 주민자치위원, 관계 공무원 등 55명이 참석했다.

워크숍 1일차에는 주민자치위원으로서 지역사회 선도에 필요한 리더십 및 소통 역량 강화를 위한 강의로 김홍걸 핵심인재개발원 대표가 ‘말 잘하는 방법과 리더의 역할’, 조정호 감성인문학연구소 대표가 ‘돌 같은 인생에 감성을 불어넣다’라는 주제로 각각 특강을 했다. 저녁에는 식사와 함께 화합의 시간으로 이진규 ㈜이엘교육 파트너강사가 레크리에이션을 진행했다.

2일차에는 직무강의 외에 예당호, 수덕사 등 주변 탐방 프로그램을 진행해 주민자치위원들 간 화합하고 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.

이번 워크숍에 참여한 한 주민자치위원은 “강의를 통해 ‘긍정적 마인드로 주민자치를 이끌어 가야겠다’는 마음이 생겼다”며, “(워크숍이) 강의면에서나 탐방 프로그램에서나 좋아지고 있는 것 같다”고 말했다.

한윤희 안양시주민자치위원장은 “이번 워크숍에는 처음 참여하는 위원들이 많았다. 참여인원은 예산 때문에 줄어들었지만 위원들이 실질적으로 교류할 수 있는 장이 돼서 매우 유익했다”며, “전에는 주입식 강의가 많았는데 이번에는 콘서트 겸해서 히스토리가 있는 강의가 진행돼 지루하지 않고 좋았다”고 말했다.
