안양동안라이온스클럽(회장 송세비)이 사단법인 사랑의집수리(이사장 김도성, 대표 박은경)와함께 지난 11월 23일, 만안구 홀몸 장애가정을 대상으로 집수리 봉사활동을 펼쳤다. 집수리 대상 가정은 수리장애인복지관의 추천으로 선정된 시각장애와 신장장애로 치료 중인 단독세대로 누수로 인한 벽지 손상과 심각하게 노후 된 바닥장판 교체가 시급한 상황이었다.

안양동안라이온스클럽에서는 (사)사랑의집수리에 집수리 비용으로 200만원을 기부하고, 송세비 회장을 비롯해 김초원·임정인·이현미·박찬희·유현숙(후원) 회원 등이 참여해 집수리 봉사활동을 전개했다.

(사)사랑의집수리에서는 김도성 이사장과 정인구 자원봉사자, 박은경 대표, 이화정 간사가 함께 봉사활동을 했다.

안양동안라이온스클럽 회원들은 주방 거실의 찢어진 장판을 모두 철거하고 벽면 곰팡이를 제거한 후 친환경장판을 시공했다. 누수로 훼손된 방안 벽면에는 보온성이 뛰어난 단열벽지를 붙이고, 욕실의 낡은 변기 시트커버를 교체했다. 집안의 모든 전등을 전력효율이 좋은 LED전등으로 교체하고, 묵은 때가 가득한 주방 싱크대와 냉장고 청소, 외부계단의 미끄럼방지 논슬립 부착, 발매트 설치 등으로 불편함을 해결하고, 필요한 식료품과 생필품 등을 지원했다.

봉사자들의 수고로 인해 장애가정의 주거공간은 아주 산뜻하고 쾌적하게 바뀌어 안전하고 건강하게 생활할 수 있게 되었다. 이 모든 과정을 지켜본 대상 가정의 거주인은 “이렇게 큰 도움을 주시니 정말 감사하다”고 인사를 전했다.

안양동안라이온스 송세비 회장은 “시작장애와 신장장애로 어려움을 겪고 계신 가정을 집수리 봉사로 돕게 되어 정말 기쁘다”며, “함께 참여해주신 회원들께 진심으로 감사드린다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

안양동안라이온스클럽은 꾸준히 지역사회 사회공헌 활동을 전개하고 있다. 특히 올해에는 사랑의 짜장차, 나눔카페 등을 통해 독거노인과 장애인을 위한 봉사활동을 진행했다.

(사)사랑의집수리는 2005년 안양에서 활동을 시작, 시민후원과 자원봉사로 2024년 11월 현재까지 약 1,200곳에 집수리를 진행하며 활발히 활동하고 있다.

Anyang Dong-an Lions Club, Love House Repair and Single-person Disabled Families Home Repair Volunteer Work

On November 23, Anyang Dong-an Lions Club (President Song Se-bi) and Love House Repair (Chairman Kim Do-seong, Representative Park Eun-gyeong) carried out a home repair volunteer work for single-person disabled families in Manan-gu. The families targeted for home repair were single-person households receiving treatment for visual and kidney impairments recommended by the Suri Disabled Welfare Center, and were in urgent need of wallpaper damage due to water leaks and replacement of seriously aged flooring.

Anyang Dong-an Lions Club donated 2 million won to Love House Repair, and President Song Se-bi, along with members Kim Cho-won, Lim Jeong-in, Lee Hyeon-mi, Park Chan-hee, and Yoo Hyeon-suk (sponsors), participated in the home repair volunteer work.

Anyang Dong-an Lions Club members removed all the torn flooring in the kitchen and living room, removed mold on the walls, and installed eco-friendly flooring. They attached insulating wallpaper with excellent heat retention to the walls of the room damaged by water leakage, and replaced the old toilet seat cover in the bathroom. They replaced all the lights in the house with energy-efficient LED lights, cleaned the kitchen sink and refrigerator full of old grime, attached non-slip anti-slip to the outside stairs, and installed doormats to resolve inconveniences, and provided necessary food and daily necessities.

Thanks to the efforts of the volunteers, the living space of the disabled family was transformed into a very refreshing and comfortable space, allowing them to live safely and healthily. Anyang Dong-an Lions Club has been consistently carrying out social contribution activities in the local community. This year in particular, they carried out volunteer activities for the elderly living alone and the disabled through Love Jjajangcha and Sharing Café.
