군포시가 지난 12월 4일 군포시장애인센터 다목적실에서 (사)한국지체장애인협회 경기도협회 군포시지회(회장 김기환)주관으로 2024년 중증장애인 가족초청대회 행사를 개최했다.

하은호 시장은 이날 인사말에서 “오늘 행사는 중증장애인 가족의 노고를 위로하고 사회적 관심과 이해를 제고하는 뜻깊은 자리다”라며, “앞으로도 장애인이 살기 좋은 군포를 만들겠다”고 강조했다.

이날 기념식에는 200여 명의 장애인 회원과 관계자가 참여한 가운데 장애인복지 유공자 표창을 시작으로 김기환 회장의 개회사와 하은호 군포시장의 축사가 이어졌다.

장애인복지 유공에는 시장 표창 1명, 군포시의회 의장 표창 1명, 국회의원 표창 1명, 경기도지체장애인협회장 표창 1명, 군포시지체장애인협회장 표창 1명, 감사패 1명 등 모두 6명이 공로를 인정받았다.

군포시는 장애인들을 위한 편의 증진 기술 지원센터 운영, 보장구 수리센터 운영 등을 추진하며 장애인과 비장애인 간 차별을 해소하고 장애인 인권과 복지증진을 위해 노력하고 있다.

Gunpo City to hold 2024 severely disabled family invitation competition

On December 4, Gunpo City held the 2024 severely disabled family invitation competition event at the Gunpo City Disabled People Center multipurpose room, hosted by the Gyeonggi Province Association of the Korea Association of the Physically Disabled (Chairman Kim Ki-hwan) Gunpo City Branch.

In his opening remarks that day, Mayor Ha Eun-ho emphasized, “Today’s event is a meaningful event that comforts the hard work of families of severely disabled people and raises social interest and understanding,” and “We will continue to make Gunpo a good place for the disabled to live in.”

The ceremony began with an award ceremony for those who have contributed to the welfare of the disabled, followed by an opening speech by Chairman Kim Ki-hwan and a congratulatory speech by Mayor Ha Eun-ho of Gunpo City, with approximately 200 disabled members and officials in attendance. Gunpo City is working to eliminate discrimination between the disabled and non-disabled and to promote the human rights and welfare of the disabled by operating a technology support center for improving convenience for the disabled and a repair center for assistive devices.
