안양1동 신년인사회가 지난 1월 13일 오후 안양1동 행정복지센터 3층에서 열렸다. 이날 안일초등학교 어린이들이 포도나무에 감사와 희망의 메시지 담은 ‘희망트리’를 최대호 안양시장에게 전달해 참석자들에게 감동을 선사했다.
이날 신년인사회에는 최대호 안양시장, 강득구 국회의원(더불어민주당, 안양만안), 김성수 경기도의원, 김정중·장명희 안양시의원, 유한호 만안구청장, 정은경 안양1동장 등 안양시 공무원들, 안양1동 강성종 주민자치회장·이용희 사회단체협의회장을 비롯한 각 사회단체장, 안일초 학부모회장, 노인회장, 아파트입주자대표를 비롯한 안양1동 주민 등 100여명이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다.
이날 행사는 안일초등학교 학생들의 감사의 마음을 담은 ‘희망트리’ 증정식으로 시작됐다. 안일초등학교 학생들은 감사의 포도송이 손 편지 및 희망의 메시지와 직접 제작한 슬로건을 안양의 상징이자 특산품인 포도나무에 붙여 제작한 ‘희망트리’를 최대호 안양시장에게 증정했다.

행사는 안일초 어린이들의 ‘희망트리’ 증정에 이어 최대호 시장을 비롯한 내빈들의 축사, 주민 건의사항 청취 등의 순서로 진행됐다.
안양1동 주민들은 안양시에 효율적인 도로 건설과 안전 관리, 아이들이 건강하게 뛰어 놀 수 있는 공간 마련, 멈춰져 있는 도로정비공사의 재개 등을 촉구했다.
최대호 안양시장은 주민들의 건의사항을 듣고, “시와 경찰서 간에 협의해 보편적인 입장에서 현실적으로 해결할 방법을 찾도록 하겠다. 아이들의 놀이 공간 및 운동공간에 대한 의견을 적극적으로 반영할 수 있도록 관심을 갖도록 하겠다. 멈춰져있는 도로정비에 대해 현실적인 대안을 준비해 빠른 시일 안에 해결하도록 하겠다”고 답했다.
최대호 시장은 이어서 “민선 8기 공약이 161개였는데 그중 159건은 거의 처리됐거나 진행 중이다. 매니페스토 실천본부에서 최고등급을 받아 매니페스토 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 나머지 공약도 이행될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다. 오늘 주신 의견들은 빠른 시일 내에 해결할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
안양시는 13일 안양1동과 안양4동 신년인사회를 시작으로 2월 14일까지 31개 동 신년인사회를 순차적으로 개최할 예정이다.
