과천시가 사회복지사 처우 향상 및 복지 정책 부문에 대한 성과를 인정받아 경기도사회복지사협회로부터 ‘우수지자체’ 인증패를 전달받았다.

경기도사회복지사협회 선정 우수지자체 인증패 전달식은 지난 2월 28일 노인복지관에서 경기도사회복지사협회 과천지회 정기총회에서 진행됐다.

과천시는 2019년부터 장기근속자 유급휴가, 사회복지의 날 기념식 운영비 지원, 종사자 표창 확대 등 지속적인 처우 개선 정책을 추진한 점을 높이 평가받았다. 2022년부터는 종합검진비 지원(1인 25만 원)과 처우개선위원회를 운영하며 소통을 강화했다. 2023년부터는 사회복지사 워크숍, 직무교육비, 심리상담비 전액 지원을 시작했으며, 2024년부터 복지포인트(1인 30만 원)와 종합검진비(1인 35만 원) 지원을 확대했다.

경기도사회복지사협회는 자치법규정보시스템과 31개 시·군의 예산서 및 자료를 분석해 우수지자체를 선정했다. 사회복지사들의 처우 향상, 지위 개선, 예산 지원, 복지 운영 현황 등을 포함한 3개 주요 영역에서 17개 지표를 평가했다.

과천시는 앞으로도 경기도사회복지사협회의 처우개선비 인상 및 지급대상 확대에 발맞춰 타 시군구의 복지 종사자 지원 정책을 지속적으로 모니터링할 계획이다. 이를 통해 사회복지사들이 보다 안정적으로 근무할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 방침이다.

Gwacheon City received the ‘Excellent Local Government’ Certification Plaque from the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Association in recognition of its achievements in improving treatment for social workers and welfare policies.

The Gyeonggi Social Welfare Association Selected Excellent Local Government Certification Plaque Award Ceremony was held at the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Association Gwacheon Branch’s regular general meeting at the Senior Welfare Center on February 28.

Gwacheon City was highly evaluated for continuously promoting treatment improvement policies such as paid leave for long-term employees, support for operating expenses for the Social Welfare Day commemoration ceremony, and expansion of employee awards since 2019. Starting in 2022, it will strengthen communication by providing support for comprehensive medical checkups (KRW 250,000 per person) and operating a treatment improvement committee. Starting in 2023, we began providing full support for social worker workshops, job training costs, and psychological counseling costs, and expanded support for welfare points (KRW 300,000 per person) and comprehensive medical checkup costs (KRW 350,000 per person) starting in 2024.

The Gyeonggi Social Workers Association analyzed the local government law information system and budgets and data from 31 cities and counties to select excellent local governments.
