안양과천교육지원청(교육장 이승희)이 2025학년부터 ‘학교 밖 교육 학점 인정’ 경기공유학교 프로그램을 운영한다.

‘학교 밖 교육 학점 인정’은 지역 사회 기관을 통해 학점을 이수 할 수 있는 제도.

안양과천교육지원청은 국립과천과학관과 협력해 전문교과Ⅰ ‘융합과학탐구’ 과목을 신설하고 고등학교 2학년 학생들을 대상으로 34시간, 2학점의 학교 밖 교육 학점 인정 과목을 운영, 과천을 과학 특화 교육지역으로 발전시켜 나갈 예정이다.

이번 프로그램은 2025년 3월 6일부터 7월 17일까지 매주 목요일 16시 10분부터 18시까지 총 17차시로 진행되며 과천 관내 고등학교가 모두 참여한다.

이번 융합과학탐구 과목은 강의 형태를 넘어 학생들이 생명과학, 지구과학, 물리학, 화학 분야를 전문적으로 배우고 직접 연구 과제를 수행하고 발표하는 방식으로 운영 될 예정이다. 또한 국립과천과학관과 연계한 심화 탐구 프로젝트를 진행하여 실제 연구 경험을 쌓을 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.

이승희 교육장은 “학생들이 융합과학적 사고를 기르고 미래 과학 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 이어갈 것이며 지역 내 학교 밖 학점제 운영의 성공적인 사례가 될 수 있도록 지원과 협력을 아끼지 않을 것이다”라고 밝혔다.

National Gwacheon Science Museum and ‘Convergence Science Exploration’ subject established… ‘Out-of-School Education Credits Recognition’ class begins

Anyang-Gwacheon Office of Education (Superintendent Lee Seung-hee) will operate the ‘Out-of-School Education Credits Recognition’ Gyeonggi Shared School program starting in the 2025 school year.

‘Out-of-School Education Credits Recognition’ is a system that allows students to earn credits through local community organizations.

The Anyang-Gwacheon Office of Education will work with the National Gwacheon Science Museum to establish a specialized subject I ‘Convergence Science Exploration’ subject and operate a 34-hour, 2-credit out-of-school education credits recognition subject for high school sophomores, and will develop Gwacheon into a science-specialized education region. This program will be held every Thursday from 4:10 PM to 6:00 PM from March 6 to July 17, 2025, for a total of 17 sessions, and all high schools in Gwacheon will participate.

This convergence science exploration subject will be operated in a way that goes beyond the lecture format and allows students to learn life science, earth science, physics, and chemistry professionally and conduct and present research projects directly. In addition, we plan to support students to gain actual research experience by conducting an in-depth exploration project in conjunction with the National Gwacheon Science Museum.
