광복 80주년을 맞아 ‘안양시 독립운동사 증보판’이 올해 안에 발간된다.

광복회 안양시지회는 지난 8월 7일, 2022년 12월 발간된 ‘안양의 독립운동사’의 증보판 편찬을 위한 1차 편집회의를 열었다. 회의에는 광복회 이평화 안양시지회장, 김호동 경기도지부장, 김병기 전 학술원장, 단국대 김명섭 동양학연구원 초빙교수, 위례역사문화연구소 강정훈 이사, 김도현 안양시의원(더불어민주당, 안양사) 등이 참석했다.

김호동 광복회 경기도지부장은 “전국 유일의 안양시 ‘광복회 및 항일독립운동 기념사업 지원조례’ 덕분에 3년 만에 증보판 작업이 속도를 낼 수 있게 됐다”며, “초판과 2023년 학술회의에서 발굴한 21명의 독립지사 기록을 보완해 조선말부터 광복까지의 시대적 가치와 의미를 담겠다”고 밝혔다.

‘안양시 광복회 및 항일독립운동 기념사업 지원조례’를 대표발의한 김도현 의원은 “광복 80주년은 우리 민족 자주독립의 성취를 기념하는 중요한 시점”이라며, “지역 한계 속에서도 유의미한 기록 발굴과 정리에 많은 관심과 지원이 필요하다”고 강조했다. 이어 “증보판이 시민의 자긍심을 높이는 콘텐츠로 발전할 수 있도록 사적지 명소화, 기념전시, 학술회의 등을 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 광복회 안양시지회는 증보판 발간에 맞춰 오는 12월 말 북콘서트와 안양시의회 토론회를 개최할 예정이다.

On August 7, the Anyang Chapter of the Korean Liberation Association held the first editorial meeting for the expanded edition of "Anyang's History of the Independence Movement," slated for publication in December 2022. Attendees included Anyang Chapter President Lee Pyeong-hwa, Gyeonggi Province Chapter Director Kim Ho-dong, former Korean Liberation Association Academic Director Kim Byeong-gi, visiting professor Kim Myeong-seop at the Institute of Oriental Studies at Dankook University, director Kang Jeong-hun of the Wirye History and Culture Research Institute, and Anyang City Council Member Kim Do-hyun.
