과천시는 지난 11월 15일, 과천시민광장(시민회관 옆 잔디마당)에서 ‘KBS 전국노래자랑’ 공개녹화를 성황리에 마쳤다. 이날 행사에는 총 3천5백여 명의 시민이 모여 뜨거운 호응 속에 진행됐다. 이번에 녹화된 ‘KBS 전국노래자랑 과천시편’은 2026년 3월 8일 KBS 1TV를 통해 전국에 방송될 예정이다.

이번 전국노래자랑은 2018년 이후 7년 만에 과천에서 개최돼 오랜만에 마련된 무대에 지역 주민들의 큰 기대가 더해졌다.

본선 무대에는 지난 13일 예심을 통해 선발된 16팀이 출연해 개성 있는 노래와 퍼포먼스를 선보이며 흥겨운 분위기를 이끌었다.

방송인 남희석의 사회로 진행된 공개녹화에는 초대가수 천록담, 신승태, 문연주, 미스김, 남산 등이 출연해 무대의 열기를 더했다.

신계용 과천시장은 “시민들이 오래도록 기다려온 전국노래자랑을 7년 만에 과천에서 다시 열게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “직접 개사한 ‘아름다운 과천에서 살으렵니다’라는 가사처럼, 시민 한 사람 한 사람이 과천의 주인공임을 다시 느낀 소중한 시간이었다”고 말했다.
