안양시의회 김도현 의원(민주당, 안양사)이 학교 교육 발전과 환경 개선에 기여한 공로로 평촌과학기술고등학교(교장 김광회)로부터 감사패를 받았다. 감사패는 지난 12월 4일 열린 학교운영위원회에서 전달됐다.

김도현 의원은 평촌과기고가 위치한 갈산동 지역구 시의원으로서 도서관 리모델링 등을 포함한 시설 개선과 관련해 현안 간담회를 열고 학교와 지역사회가 함께 사용할 수 있는 교육·문화 공간 조성에 힘써 왔다. 새로 조성되는 도서관이 학생 학습공간이자 갈산동 주민 커뮤니티 공간으로 기능할 수 있도록 관련 논의를 주도했다.

안양시 교육경비보조심의위원으로도 활동하며 예산 확보에 적극 나섰다. 도서관 리모델링과 복합 커뮤니티 공간 조성을 위한 예산 2억원을 확보했고, 2023년에는 본관 교실 바닥 교체 예산 4억2천만원도 이끌어냈다.

김도현 의원은 “평촌과학기술고는 2023년 평촌공업고에서 교명을 변경한 이후 기계, 전기, 전자, 디자인 분야에서 산학 연계 중심의 특성화 교육을 강화하며 주목받고 있다”며 “학생들이 지역 산업현장에 필요한 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 교육환경 개선과 지원 방안을 지속적으로 고민하겠다”고 말했다.

Anyang City Council Member Kim Do-hyun (Democratic Party, Anyangsa) received a plaque of appreciation from Pyeongchon Science and Technology High School (Principal Kim Gwang-hoe) for his contributions to the development of education and the improvement of the school environment. The plaque was presented at the School Management Committee meeting held on December 4th.

As a council member for the Galsan-dong district where Pyeongchon Science and Technology High School is located, Council Member Kim Do-hyun has been actively involved in organizing meetings regarding facility improvements, including library remodeling, and has worked to create educational and cultural spaces that can be shared by the school and the local community. He led discussions to ensure that the new library can function as both a learning space for students and a community space for Galsan-dong residents.

He also actively secured budget as a member of the Anyang City Education Expense Subsidy Review Committee. He secured 200 million won for library remodeling and the creation of a multi-purpose community space, and secured 420 million won for the replacement of classroom floors in the main building in 2023. Rep.
