안양문화원이 지난 12월 29일 안양문화원 강당에서 제16대 김용곤 안양문화원장 취임식을 열고, 새로운 임기 출범을 공식화했다고 30일 밝혔다.

이번 취임식은 연임에 성공한 김용곤 원장의 취임을 알리는 자리이자, 2025년 한 해 동안의 문화 활동을 되돌아보고 문화가족이 함께하는 송년회를 겸해 진행됐다.

이날 행사에는 최대호 안양시장을 비롯해 박준모 안양시의회 의장, 장명희 보사환경위원장과 음경택·강익수·장경술·이재현·허원구 시의원, 유영일·김재훈 경기도의원 등이 참석했다. 또한 김용규 경기도문화원연합회장을 비롯해 의왕·과천·시흥·용인·양평·광명문화원장과 지역 사회단체장, 문화원 원로회, 문화서포터즈, 문화유산해설사 등 문화계 인사들이 함께해 자리를 빛냈다.

김용곤 원장은 취임사를 통해 “이번 취임은 개인의 영광이 아니라 안양문화원의 미래를 다시 맡겨주신 회원 여러분의 신뢰에 대한 응답”이라며 “앞으로의 4년은 전통을 지키는 문화원을 넘어 디지털 기술과 미래 세대가 함께하는 문화 플랫폼으로 도약하는 시간이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

김 원장은 향후 운영 방향으로 ▲AI·디지털 기술을 접목한 문화 콘텐츠 확장 ▲시민 참여 중심의 열린 문화 환경 조성 ▲임원과 회원이 함께하는 체계적이고 내실 있는 문화원 운영을 제시하며, ‘문화로 가슴 뛰는 안양’을 더욱 공고히 하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

최대호 안양시장은 축사를 통해 “어려운 여건 속에서도 안양문화원이 55년의 긴 역사 동안 성장과 발전을 이어올 수 있었던 것은 김용곤 원장을 비롯한 문화가족이 함께해 왔기 때문”이라며 김 원장의 취임을 축하했다.

안양문화원은 이번 취임식과 송년회를 계기로 지역 문화의 중심 기관으로서 역할을 더욱 강화하고, 시민과 함께 호흡하는 문화 공동체로 한 단계 더 도약해 나갈 계획이다.

The Anyang Cultural Center announced on December 30th that it held an inauguration ceremony for Kim Yong-gon, the 16th Director of Anyang Cultural Center, in its auditorium on December 29th, officially marking the start of his new term.

The inauguration ceremony not only marked the successful reappointment of Director Kim Yong-gon but also served as a year-end party for the cultural community, reflecting on cultural activities throughout 2025.

The event was attended by Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho, Anyang City Council Speaker Park Jun-mo, Health and Environment Committee Chairwoman Jang Myeong-hee, City Council Members Eum Gyeong-taek, Kang Ik-soo, Jang Gyeong-sul, Lee Jae-hyun, and Heo Won-gu, and Gyeonggi Provincial Council Members Yoo Yeong-il and Kim Jae-hoon. Anyang Mayor Choi Ma-ho congratulated Director Kim on his inauguration in a congratulatory address, saying, "Despite difficult circumstances, Anyang Cultural Center has been able to continue its growth and development over its 55-year history thanks to the support of Director Kim Yong-gon and the rest of the cultural family."

The Anyang Cultural Center plans to use this inauguration ceremony and year-end party as an opportunity to further strengthen its role as a central regional cultural institution and take a leap forward as a cultural community that breathes together with its citizens.
