경기도의회 정윤경 부의장(더불어민주당, 군포1)이 대한민국시도의회의장협의회가 수여하는 ‘제17회 우수의정대상’을 수상했다. 정 부의장은 2020년에 이어 두 번째로 이 상을 받으며, 탁월한 의정 리더십과 실천 중심의 의정활동 성과를 다시 한번 전국적으로 인정받았다.

시상식은 지난 12월 26일 경기도의회 대회의실에서 열린 ‘2025년 경기도의회 우수의정대상 및 행정사무감사 우수의원 시상식’에서 진행됐으며, 도의원과 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 한 해 동안의 의정 성과를 공유하는 자리로 마련됐다.

대한민국시도의회의장협의회 우수의정대상은 전국 광역의회를 대상으로 입법 성과와 의정활동의 전문성, 도민 삶의 질 향상 기여도, 의회 운영 기여도 등을 종합 평가해 수여되는 상이다. 정윤경 부의장은 도민 중심의 정책 추진과 현장에 기반한 입법 활동, 책임 있는 의회 운영 전반에서 고른 평가를 받아 수상자로 선정됐다.

정 부의장은 그동안 도민 생활과 직결된 현안을 중심으로 현장의 목소리를 정책으로 연결하는 데 주력해 왔으며, 실현 가능한 대안을 제시해 경기도 정책의 완성도를 높였다는 평가를 받아왔다. 특히 행정사무감사에서는 문제 제기에 그치지 않고 제도 개선으로 이어질 수 있는 대안을 제시하며 집행부에 대한 견제와 균형이라는 지방의회의 역할을 충실히 수행해 왔다.

부의장으로서의 의회 운영 성과도 주목받았다. 정 부의장은 여야 간 이견이 큰 사안에서도 대화와 조정을 통해 합리적 해법을 도출하며, 협치와 소통을 바탕으로 한 안정적인 의회 운영에 기여해 왔다.

정윤경 부의장은 수상 소감에서 “대한민국시도의회의장협의회에서 주시는 우수의정대상을 2020년에 이어 다시 받게 돼 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “이번 수상은 개인의 성과라기보다 도민 여러분의 목소리와 현장의 절박함이 만들어낸 결과”라고 밝혔다. 이어 “앞으로도 도민의 삶을 가장 먼저 생각하는 의정활동과 경기도의 미래를 준비하는 책임 있는 의정으로 보답하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 이날 시상식에서는 우수의정대상과 함께 행정사무감사 우수의원에 대한 시상도 함께 진행됐으며, 경기도의회는 향후에도 도민이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 의정활동을 통해 지방자치의 역할을 강화해 나갈 방침이다.

The awards ceremony took place on December 26th at the "2025 Gyeonggi Provincial Council Excellence in Legislative and Administrative Audit Excellence Awards Ceremony" held in the Gyeonggi Provincial Council Conference Room. The ceremony was designed to share the legislative achievements of the year with provincial council members and officials in attendance. The Korea Association of Metropolitan and Provincial Council Speakers' Excellence in Legislation Award is presented to local councils nationwide based on a comprehensive evaluation of legislative achievements, expertise in legislative activities, contributions to improving the quality of life for residents, and contributions to council operations. Vice Speaker Jeong Yoon-kyung was selected as the recipient after receiving a balanced evaluation for her citizen-centered policy implementation, field-based legislative activities, and responsible council operations.

She has been recognized for presenting feasible alternatives, enhancing the quality of Gyeonggi Province policies. As Vice Speaker, she has also garnered attention for her performance in council operations. Meanwhile, the awards ceremony also presented awards to outstanding administrative audit members along with the Excellence in Legislation Award.
