민주평화통일자문회의 안양시협의회(회장 박경애)가 지난 1월 14일, 여자수산에서 2026년 신년 인사회를 열고 새해의 출발을 알렸다.

이날 신년 인사회에는 자문위원과 내빈들이 참석해 새해 덕담을 나누고, 한 해 동안의 활동 방향과 각오를 공유했다. 참석자들은 민주평통의 역할과 책임을 되새기며, 지역사회와 함께하는 평화통일 공감대 확산에 대한 의지를 다졌다.

특히 이번 행사는 ‘시민에게 가장 가까운 민주평통, 미래를 이야기하되 지금의 삶에서 느끼게’라는 박경애 협의회장의 운영 기조를 중심으로 진행돼 의미를 더했다.

박경애 회장은 “민주평통의 활동이 거창한 담론에 머무르지 않고 시민의 일상 속에서 체감될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”며 “자문위원 모두가 시민과 통일을 잇는 가교 역할을 충실히 수행해 달라”고 당부했다.

민주평통 안양시협의회는 올해도 시민 참여형 통일 공감 사업과 지역 밀착형 활동을 통해 평화통일에 대한 인식을 확산하고, 시민과 함께하는 민주평통으로서의 역할을 더욱 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
