과천시는 주거 상담과 주거복지 정책 정보 제공 등을 전담하는 ‘과천시 주거복지센터’를 개소하고, 시민 대상 주거복지 지원을 본격화한다고 밝혔다.

‘과천시 주거복지센터’는 시청 별관 1동 4층(주택과 사무실 내)에 마련됐으며, 저소득층과 주거 취약계층을 대상으로 주거 상담, 주거 정보 제공, 주거비 지원 연계 등의 역할을 수행하게 된다.

시는 주거복지센터를 통해 비닐하우스, 고시원, 지하층 등 열악한 주거 환경에 거주하는 시민을 적극 발굴하고, 공공임대주택으로의 이주를 지원할 계획이다.

주거복지센터를 찾는 시민은 주거 문제 전반에 대해 상담을 받을 수 있으며, 개인별 상황에 맞는 주거 지원 제도 안내와 연계 서비스를 제공받을 수 있다.

신계용 과천시장은 “주거복지센터가 주거 문제로 어려움을 겪는 시민들에게 실질적인 도움을 주는 창구가 되길 바란다”라며 “주거 문제로 어려움을 겪는 시민들이 조금이나마 도움받을 수 있도록, 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 주거복지 지원을 이어가겠다”라고 말했다.

Gwacheon City announced the opening of the "Gwacheon City Housing Welfare Center," a dedicated housing counseling and housing welfare policy information provider, and the full-scale launch of housing welfare support for its citizens.

The "Gwacheon City Housing Welfare Center," located on the 4th floor of Building 1 of the City Hall Annex (within the Housing and Office Building), will provide housing counseling, housing information, and housing cost assistance to low-income and vulnerable households.
