경기도의회 도시환경위원회 김옥순 의원(더불어민주당, 비례)이 지난 1월 16일 경기도의회 의왕상담소에서 의왕시청 도시정책과 관계 공무원, 주민들과 함께 ‘재개발 사업 공사 진행 관련 문제점 대책 마련을 위한 정담회’를 열었다.

이번 정담회는 재개발 사업 추진 과정에서 발생하고 있는 공사 진행상의 문제점과 주민 불편 사항을 점검하고, 환경 개선과 원활한 사업 추진을 위한 관계 기관 간 협력 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 참석자들은 현재 진행 중인 재개발 사업의 단계별 추진 현황과 행정 절차, 관련 서류 처리 과정 등을 공유하며, 현장에서 제기되고 있는 주요 민원과 개선 필요 사항에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 교환했다.

김옥순 의원은 “재개발 사업은 도시 환경 개선이라는 공익적 목적과 주민 삶의 질이 함께 고려돼야 한다”며 “관계 공무원과 재개발 조합 간 긴밀한 협의를 통해 당면한 문제를 조속히 해결하고, 사업 추진 과정에서 발생하는 변동 사항과 주민 불편을 수시로 점검·조정해야 한다”고 강조했다. 이어 “지속적인 소통과 협력을 통해 주민 신뢰를 높이고, 갈등을 최소화하는 방향으로 사업이 추진되길 바란다”고 당부했다.

한편 경기도의회 의원들은 각 지역상담소를 거점으로 주민들의 입법·정책 건의와 생활 불편 사항을 수렴하고, 이를 관계 부서와 연계해 해결 방안을 모색하는 소통 창구로 적극 활용하고 있다.

Representative Kim Ok-soon (Democratic Party of Korea, proportional representation) of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Urban Environment Committee held a "Discussion Meeting to Develop Countermeasures for Issues Related to Redevelopment Project Progress" at the Uiwang Counseling Center on January 16th, along with officials from the Uiwang City Hall's Urban Policy Division and residents.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Provincial Council members are actively utilizing their local counseling centers as communication channels, gathering legislative and policy suggestions and complaints from residents and collaborating with relevant departments to find solutions.
