경기도교육청(교육감 임태희)이 남부청사에서 삼성문화재단과 경기공유학교 중심 미래 예술 인재 양성과 지역교육 협력 체계 구축을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다. 경기공유학교는 방과후 수업의 하나로 지역자원을 활용한 학교 밖 맞춤교육 프로그램이다.

협약은 삼성문화재단이 운영하는 리움미술관(서울)과 호암미술관(용인)의 전문 인력과 교육자원을 경기공유학교와 연계해 학생들이 문화예술 공간을 기반으로 예술적 역량 확장을 지원하고자 마련됐다.

주요 협약 내용은 경기공유학교 예술 프로그램 공동 운영, 미술관 프로그램·교육시설 활용, 문화예술 기반 학생 성장 지원 상호 협력 등이다. 양 기관은 이번 협력을 통해 학교 안팎의 교육자원을 연결하고 학생별 소질과 잠재력이 실질적인 성장으로 이어지는 협력 구조를 확대할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

첫 협력 사업으로 호암미술관에서 도내 중학생 대상 ‘미술관 탐사대–정원에서 찾은 예술’ 프로그램을 운영한다. 예술가와 함께 미술관에서 탐색·관찰·발견·기록·표현하는 참여형 프로젝트로 미래 예술 인재로서의 감각과 사고를 기르는 데 초점을 뒀다.

임태희 교육감은 “경기공유학교는 학교에서 하기 어려운 교육을 지역사회와 협력해 보완하는 정책”이라면서 “지역 미술관의 소중한 문화예술 자원을 연계하게 되어 뜻깊다”고 말했다. 이어 “미술교육은 단순 관람을 넘어 작품 관찰을 통한 해석과 관점을 함께 키우는 과정이어야 한다”면서 “문화예술 교육으로 학생들의 감성과 사고력이 함께 성장하도록 지역사회와의 협력을 확대하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and Samsung Foundation of Culture Partner to Cultivate Arts Talent

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Samsung Foundation of Culture at its Southern Office building to foster future artistic talent centered on the Gyeonggi Shared School and establish a cooperative system for regional education. The Gyeonggi Shared School is a customized after-school program utilizing local resources.

The MOU aims to connect the expertise and educational resources of the Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art (Seoul) and the Ho-Am Art Museum (Yongin), both operated by the Samsung Foundation of Culture, with the Gyeonggi Shared School to support students in expanding their artistic capabilities through cultural and artistic spaces.

The MOU covers joint operation of Gyeonggi Shared School art programs, utilization of museum programs and educational facilities, and mutual cooperation in supporting student growth through arts and culture. The two organizations announced plans to expand the collaborative structure through this collaboration, connecting educational resources both inside and outside of school and fostering tangible growth in each student's talents and potential.

The first collaborative project will be the "Art Museum Exploration - Art Found in the Garden" program for middle school students in the province at the Ho-Am Art Museum. This participatory project, where students explore, observe, discover, record, and express art alongside artists at the museum, focuses on fostering the sensibilities and thinking of future artists.

Superintendent Lim Tae-hee stated, "The Gyeonggi Shared School is a policy that complements education that is difficult to provide in schools through collaboration with the local community. It is meaningful to connect with the valuable cultural and artistic resources of local art museums." He continued, "Art education should go beyond simple viewing and foster interpretation and perspective through observation of artworks. We will expand cooperation with the local community to ensure that students' sensibilities and critical thinking skills develop through cultural and artistic education."
