경기도의회 여성가족평생교육위원회 김재훈 의원(국민의힘, 안양4)이 노인일자리 참여 어르신을 대상으로 한 승강기 안전·중대재해 예방 교육 현장을 찾았다.

김 의원은 지난 4월 27일 열린 ‘참여 노인 승강기 안전·중대재해 예방 교육’에 참석해 어르신 안전 확보의 중요성을 강조했다.

이번 교육은 경기도사회서비스원 경기도노인일자리지원센터가 추진한 사업으로, 노인일자리 참여자를 대상으로 승강기 안전수칙과 중대재해 예방 행동요령을 안내하기 위해 마련됐다.

김 의원은 “노인일자리 사업은 어르신의 사회참여와 삶의 활력을 높이는 중요한 정책”이라며 “활동의 전제는 무엇보다 안전”이라고 말했다. 이어 “공공기관 간 협력을 통해 추진된 이번 교육은 예방 중심 안전관리 모델이라는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “현장 안전 사각지대를 줄이는 모범 사례로 발전시킬 필요가 있다”고 밝혔다.

또한 “교육에 그치지 않고 현장 점검과 결과 분석, 우수사례 확산 등 사후 관리 체계가 병행돼야 한다”며 “사고 대응보다 사전 예방 중심의 정책이 중요하다”고 강조했다.
