의왕시가 경기도가 실시한 ‘2025년 시군종합평가’에서 우수상을 수상하며 8년 연속 우수기관에 선정됐다.

시군종합평가는 경기도 31개 시·군을 인구 규모에 따라 3개 그룹으로 나누고, 정부합동평가 연계 지표 79개와 도정 주요 시책 지표 31개 등 총 110개 지표를 대상으로 행정 성과를 종합 평가하는 제도다. 지방자치단체의 정책 추진 역량과 행정 효율성을 객관적으로 측정하는 대표적인 평가로 꼽힌다.

의왕시는 이번 평가에서 모든 정량지표에서 최고 등급인 S등급을 획득하는 성과를 거뒀다. 특히 ▲국민이 하나 되는 정치 ▲세계를 이끄는 혁신경제 ▲모두가 잘사는 균형성장 ▲기본이 튼튼한 사회 ▲국익 중심의 외교안보 ▲도정 분야 등 전 평가 영역에서 목표치를 상회하는 우수한 실적을 기록했다.

이번 수상에 따라 시는 2억 원의 재정 인센티브를 확보하게 됐다. 이로써 최근 8년간 시군종합평가 우수기관 선정으로 확보한 교부금은 총 20억 원에 달하게 됐다.

시는 확보한 재원을 국정·도정 주요 정책과 연계해 주민 불편 해소와 지역경제 활성화, 생활밀착형 현안 사업 추진 등에 활용할 방침이다.
