의왕시가 민선 9기 공약사업을 구체적인 실행계획으로 구체화하며 시민과의 약속 이행을 위한 준비에 들어갔다.

시는 지난 6월 30일과 7월 2일 시청 중회의실에서 ‘민선9기 공약사항 검토 보고회’를 열고 공약사업의 실행 가능성과 추진 전략, 재원 확보 방안 등을 종합적으로 점검했다고 밝혔다.

김성제 시장이 지방선거에서 제시한 76개 공약은 담당 부서의 검토를 거쳐 모두 97개의 세부사업으로 구체화됐다. 이번 보고회에서는 사업별 추진 방향과 우선순위를 비롯해 재정 여건과 단계별 추진 전략 등을 집중적으로 논의했다.

공약사업은 ▲도시개발 ▲첨단자족도시 ▲교통 ▲교육 ▲청년 ▲문화·체육·복지 ▲건강·안전 등 7개 분야로 구성됐다.

주요 사업으로는 월암공공주택지구 조성 완료, 포일동 산업단지 조성 지원, 위례~과천선 의왕 연장, 의왕미래교육센터 개관, 청년 취업준비금 지원, 문화예술회관 개관 및 활성화, 의왕 해밀리 종합병원 개원 등이 포함됐다.

시는 특히 대규모 재정이 필요한 취약계층 및 어르신 무료 예방접종 확대와 출산장려금 확대 사업에 대해서는 재정 여건을 면밀히 검토하는 한편, 시민 체감도가 높은 사업이 될 수 있도록 구체적인 실행계획을 마련하기로 했다.

또한 신분당선 연장과 의왕역 철도 데크화 및 복합개발처럼 중앙정부와 인접 지자체의 협력이 필요한 사업은 관계기관과 긴밀한 협의를 통해 단계별 추진 전략을 마련한다는 방침이다.

의왕시는 앞으로도 정기적인 공약 검토 보고회를 통해 사업 추진 상황을 점검하고 재원 확보 방안을 보완하는 한편, 시민 의견 수렴 절차를 거쳐 올해 말까지 민선 9기 공약사업을 최종 확정할 계획이다.

Uiwang City has begun preparations to fulfill its promises to citizens by concretizing the pledges of the 9th elected administration into concrete implementation plans.

The city announced that it held a "Review Meeting on 9th Elected Administration Pledges" in the City Hall conference room on June 30 and July 2, comprehensively examining the feasibility, implementation strategies, and funding methods for the pledge projects.

The 76 pledges presented by Mayor Kim Seong-je during the local elections have been concretized into a total of 97 detailed projects following reviews by the relevant departments.
