안양시가 민선 9기 시정 운영의 밑그림을 완성했다. 시민 삶의 질 향상과 미래 성장 전략을 담은 시정 슬로건과 6대 시정방침을 제시하고, 향후 4년간 추진할 공약 실행계획 마련에 본격 착수했다.

안양시는 지난 20일 시청 상황실에서 민선 9기 안양시장직 인수위원회인 ‘안양의 완성 특별위원회’ 최종보고회를 열고 위원회 활동 결과와 시정 운영 방향, 공약 검토 결과 등을 공유했다고 21일 밝혔다.

이날 특별위원회는 민선 9기 시정 슬로건으로 ‘Any Way, Anyang!(모든 길은, 안양으로!)’​를 제안했다.

슬로건에는 시민의 삶과 기업의 성장, 미래산업, 문화예술, 교통과 도시공간 등 안양의 다양한 가능성을 하나로 연결해 미래로 나아가겠다는 의미를 담았다.

이를 실현하기 위한 6대 시정방침도 함께 제시됐다.

6대 시정방침은 ▲민생우선 경제도시 ▲평생학습 복지도시 ▲미래활력 청년도시 ▲세대공감 문화도시 ▲탄소중립 정원도시 ▲사통팔달 혁신도시다.

특별위원회는 이와 함께 향후 4년간 추진할 공약을 검토하고 실행 방향을 종합 보고했으며, 미래 성장 기반 구축과 시민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 다양한 정책을 제안했다.

제안된 공약은 안양시 민관협치위원회의 논의를 거쳐 최종 확정될 예정이다.

지난달 17일 출범한 '안양의 완성 특별위원회'는 각계 전문가 24명으로 구성됐으며 ▲시정혁신 ▲행복도시 ▲미래성장 등 3개 분과를 중심으로 활동해 왔다.

위원회는 부서별 업무보고와 분과별 회의를 통해 주요 정책과 공약의 실행 가능성, 재정 여건, 추진 일정 등을 종합적으로 검토했으며, 주요 사업 현장을 직접 방문해 추진 상황을 점검하고 시민 의견을 수렴하는 등 정책의 실효성 확보에 주력했다.

위원회 활동 결과와 정책 제언, 민선 9기 정책 수립 과정 등은 백서로 제작돼 안양시 홈페이지에 공개되며 향후 시정 운영의 기초자료로 활용될 예정이다.

문수곤 특별위원회 위원장은 “민선 9기 성공적인 출범을 위해 정책의 방향성과 실행 가능성을 다각도로 검토했다”며 “위원회의 논의 결과가 시정에 충실히 반영돼 안양의 새로운 도약을 이끄는 밑거름이 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
