Gyeonggi Job Foundation Launches Map-Based ‘Job Map’ Service on ‘Job Bar’

Enhancing Convenience for Job Seekers with Closer Home Proximity by Viewing Job Information Near Current Location and Desired Area at a Glance

The Gyeonggi Job Foundation has launched the ‘Job Map’ service, which allows job seekers to view jobs near their residence and desired workplace at a glance on a map.

The Gyeonggi Job Foundation announced on the 19th that it has newly introduced the map-based recruitment information service ‘Job Map’ on the Gyeonggi Job Portal, ‘Job Bar.’

Job Map is a service that allows users to view job postings in the surrounding area on a map by setting their current location or desired work area. Users can search by setting a radius and the service also provides filter functions utilizing keywords and recruitment conditions. Users can distinguish between public and private sector recruitment, and selecting a desired posting on the map allows them to view detailed recruitment information.

This service expands the map-based service previously provided on the mobile app ‘Job Dream’ to a PC environment. Unlike existing list-based searches, it is characterized by the ability to find jobs by considering both the workplace location and the user's living area. The scope of job information has also been expanded from the existing Gyeonggi-do region to the entire nation.

The Foundation strengthened its work-live proximity services because commuting time is having a growing impact on job seekers' job choices. According to a survey by Statistics Korea, the average daily commute time for office workers in the Seoul metropolitan area is 82 minutes.

Users can access the service by selecting the ‘Job Map’ menu on the Gyeonggi Job Portal ‘Jababa’ or through the Job Map website, and on mobile devices, they can search for nearby jobs via the ‘Jabadream’ app.

Yoon Deok-ryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, stated, “We have expanded map-based services to allow users to check job information in their desired regions more easily and quickly,” adding, “We will continuously refine the service to enhance accessibility to job information centered on daily living areas.”
