과천시가 병원에서 퇴원한 환자가 지역사회에서 안정적으로 일상에 복귀할 수 있도록 의료와 복지를 연계한 통합돌봄체계 구축에 나섰다.

과천시는 지난 1일 시청에서 한림대학교성심병원, 안양샘병원, 서울와이즈요양병원과 업무협약을 체결하고 퇴원환자에 대한 지역사회 연계와 맞춤형 돌봄 지원에 협력하기로 했다.

협약에 따라 각 병원은 돌봄이 필요한 퇴원환자의 정보를 과천시에 연계한다. 시는 통합돌봄 담당자가 해당 가구를 직접 방문해 건강과 생활환경, 돌봄 필요도를 확인한 뒤 읍면동 복지·간호 인력과 연계해 필요한 서비스를 제공한다.

지원 대상에 따라 방문간호와 방문재활, 치매관리, 일상생활 지원 등 맞춤형 서비스를 연결한다. 병원에서 치료가 끝난 뒤 가정으로 돌아가는 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 돌봄 공백을 지역사회가 이어받는 구조다.

신계용 과천시장은 “병을 치료하는 것이 병원의 역할이라면 시민이 다시 건강한 일상으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 돕는 것은 지역사회와 행정의 역할”이라며 “퇴원 후 돌봄의 공백 속에 시민이 홀로 남겨지지 않도록 통합돌봄체계를 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

Gwacheon City signed a business agreement with Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, Anyangseam Hospital, and Seoul Wise Nursing Hospital at City Hall on the 1st and decided to cooperate in community connection and customized care support for discharged patients.
