과천시가 9월 29일부터 11월 2일까지 관내 7개 동을 찾아 주민들과 지역 현안을 논의하는 ‘2026 과천 사는 이야기 마당’을 연다.

행사는 시장이 동별 현장을 찾아 주민들의 생활 불편과 지역 현안, 시정에 대한 의견을 직접 듣는 방식으로 진행된다. 행사에 앞서 온라인 설문을 통해 동별 주요 현안과 시장에게 묻고 싶은 내용도 접수한다.

올해는 주민 참여를 강화해 각 동 주민대표가 직접 사회를 맡고, 주민이 동네 현안을 소개하는 ‘우리 동 3분 브리핑’도 마련한다. 식전 공연과 정책 홍보부스, 포토존 등도 운영한다.

일정은 ▲9월 29일 문원동 ▲10월 1일 과천동 ▲10월 13일 별양동 ▲10월 15일 부림동 ▲10월 27일 중앙동 ▲10월 29일 갈현동 ▲11월 2일 원문동이며, 모두 오후 7시 30분부터 9시까지 열린다.

신계용 시장은 “생활하면서 느낀 불편부터 동네의 중요한 현안까지 시민들의 이야기를 가까이에서 직접 듣는 자리”라며 주민들의 참여를 당부했다.

From September 29 to November 2; Residents Directly Propose Local Issues

Gwacheon City is hosting the "2026 Gwacheon Community Storytelling Forum" from September 29 to November 2, visiting seven neighborhoods within the city to discuss local issues with residents.

The event features the mayor visiting each neighborhood to listen directly to residents' feedback regarding daily inconveniences, local issues, and city administration. Prior to the event, the city will collect information on key neighborhood issues and questions for the mayor via an online survey.

This year, resident participation has been enhanced; resident representatives from each neighborhood will serve as moderators, and a "3-Minute Neighborhood Briefing" segment will be included where residents themselves present local issues. Pre-event performances, policy promotion booths, and photo zones will also be available.

The schedule is as follows: ▲Sept. 29: Munwon-dong ▲Oct. 1: Gwacheon-dong ▲Oct. 13: Byeolyang-dong ▲Oct. 15: Burim-dong ▲Oct. 27: Jungang-dong ▲Oct. 29: Galhyeon-dong ▲Nov. 2: Wonmun-dong. All sessions will take place from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Mayor Shin Gye-yong encouraged resident participation, stating, "This is an opportunity to listen directly and closely to the stories of our citizens—ranging from inconveniences experienced in daily life to important local issues."
