안양시가 ‘2026 월드 스마트시티 엑스포(WSCE)’에서 3년 연속 ‘스마트시티상’을 수상했다.

시는 지난달 11일 부산 벡스코에서 열린 시상식에서 상을 받은 데 이어 1일 시청에서 전수식을 개최했다. 국토교통부·과학기술정보통신부·부산시가 공동 주최한 WSCE는 스마트도시 관련 기술과 정책을 공유하는 행사다.

안양시는 2024년 첫 수상 이후 올해까지 3년 연속 스마트시티상을 받았다. 시는 첨단기술을 행정에 접목하고 시민 체감형 스마트도시 서비스를 확대해 온 점을 수상 배경으로 설명했다.

특히 올해 ‘인공지능(AI)전략국’을 신설해 AI를 시정 전반에 활용할 조직 기반을 마련했다. 스마트도시통합센터를 중심으로 도시 안전관리와 AI 기반 교통체계를 고도화하고 자율주행버스 운행도 확대하고 있다.

시는 앞으로 AI와 데이터를 행정 전반에 접목해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 스마트도시 서비스를 지속적으로 확대할 계획이다.

Anyang City has won the ‘Smart City Award’ at the ‘World Smart City Expo (WSCE)’ for three consecutive years.

Following the awards ceremony held at BEXCO in Busan on the 11th of last month, the city held a presentation ceremony at City Hall on the 1st. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and Busan Metropolitan City, the WSCE is an event dedicated to sharing technologies and policies related to smart cities.

Anyang City has received the Smart City Award for three straight years, starting in 2022. The city attributed this achievement to its efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology into municipal administration and expand smart city services that provide tangible benefits to citizens.
