국회 교육위원회 강득구 의원(더불어민주당, 안양만안)이 지난 10월 4일 교육위원회 국정감사를 앞두고 교육‧시민단체들과 함께 준비해온 정책자료집으로 놀이를 되찾자는 유아교육 정책 제안 ‘이상한 나라의 유아교육, 이상으로 비상하자’와 수학교육의 실태를 담은 ‘수학교육의 문제 데이터가 말한다’를 발간했다. 

강득구 의원이 전국국공립유치원교사노동조합 정책연구팀과 함께 펴낸 ‘이상한 나라의 유아교육, 이상으로 비상하자’는 ‘만5세 초등취학’ 사태의 근본적인 원인과 대안을 내놓고 있다. 올해 여름을 뜨겁게 달구었던 ‘만5세 초등취학’ 정책은 교육부장관을 9일 만에 사퇴하게 만들었고, 11일 만에 정책 철회로 이어졌다. 윤석열 정부가 교육을 산업 논리로만 바라보는 이상하고도 가벼운 정책을 내놓은 데 따른 대가를 혹독하게 치른 셈이다.
