국제라이온스협회 354-B지구(총재 심현섭)가 클럽4역·지구임원 및 신입회원 합동연수회를 지난 8월 30일, 31일 1박2일로 강원도 횡성군 둔내면에 있는 웰리힐리파크에서 개최했다.

합동연수회는 첫날에 입소식, 정은석 전 국제이사의 ‘봉사는 인생이다’란 주제의 강연, 직책별 강의, 만찬, 화합한마당, 둘째 날에 조찬, 퇴소식 순으로 진행됐다.

노철호 사무총장의 사회로 진행된 입소식은 강석정 재무총장의 내빈소개에 이어 심현섭 총재의 개회사, 정은석 전 국제이사·허명연 354복합지구 의장·조성현 지구 제1부총재의 축사, 음광열 연수원장의 환영사, 심현섭 총재의 시상 순으로 진행됐다.

정은석 전 국제이사는 강연에서 “삶이란 속도가 아니고 방향”이라며, “사람은 나눔으로 인생을 만들어간다. 죽을 때까지 도움의 손길을 놓지 말라”고 당부했다.

직책별 강의는 심현섭 총재가 지구임원을 대상으로, 음광열 연수원장이 클럽 회장·재무·총무를 대상으로, 조성현 지구 제1부총재가 클럽 제1부회장을 대상으로, 김태호 연수원 부원장이 신입회원을 대상으로 진행했다.

심현섭 지구총재는 “우리는 라이온스 공동체”를 지구총재 주제로, △지인 1명 입회권유 하기, △회관 건립 기금 클럽단위 참여하기, △LCIF 100/100 달성하기, △차별화된 합동봉사 만들기, △적극적인 라이온스 홍보하기 등 다섯 가지를 중점과제로 하고 있다.

이번 연수회 입소식에서는 조성현 지구 제1부총재와 음광열 전 총재가 재단이사장 감사장을 받았고, 지구발전기금 100%를 달성한 공로로 평촌·안양동안·안양촛불·과천별양 라이온스클럽 등 48개 클럽이 수상했다. LCIF 100/100을 달성한 공로로 평촌라이온스클럽 등 7개 클럽이 기수치를 전달받았으며, 회원 5명 이상이 순증가한 10개 클럽이 총재 특별패를 수상했다.

퇴소식에서는 종합평가와 함께 지역별 봉사평가·화합한마당 시상식이 진행됐다.

이번 연수회에는 국제라이온스협회 354-B지구 7지역에서는 송연국 부총재, 김초원 제1지대 위원장, 김민환 제2지대위원장, 전성열·박원일 고문 등 40여명이 참석했다. 국제라이온스협회 354-B지구 8지역에서는 박천욱 부총재, 이영재 제1지대위원장 등 40여명이 참석했다.

최홍준 7지역 고문은 LCIF 기금 1만 달러를 기부해 감사패를 받았다.
