경기도의회 여성가족평생교육위원회 정윤경 의원(더불어민주당, 군포1)이 지난 9월 5일 전통시장 및 골목상권 활성화를 위해 경기도시장상권진흥원 중부센터와 정담회를 가졌다.

정담회에는 정윤경 의원, 김장곤 군포 산본시장상점가 진흥사업 협동조합 이사장, 정성순 군포 역전시장 회장, 이이범 당동로시장 골목형상점가 회장, 김경호 경기도시장상권진흥원 이사장 등이 참석했다. 이날 정담회는 코로나 종료 선언 이후에도 골목상권의 상황은 갈수록 열악해져 어려운 실정을 타개할 방법을 모색하고, 그동안 요청했던 민원 처리를 위해 마련됐다.

김장곤 이사장은 산본시장 고객센터 앞 노면 주차장 유로화를 위한 하수도 정비, 포장, 차단봉 설치와 기존에 설치된 아케이드 노후화로 인한 리모델링 추진을 위한 예산확보를 요청했다.

정성순 회장은 “2023년 ‘첫걸음 기반조성 사업’에 선정돼 상인회원 단합과 고객의 신뢰가 제고됐다. 사업이 종료되는 12월까지 최선을 다하겠다”며, “활성화를 위해 아케이트 정비와 군포역 쪽 입구에 대형 전광판 설치 등이 필요하며, 이는 군포역전시장을 찾는 고객에게 볼거리 및 안전한 귀갓길을 제공하겠다”고 말했다.

이이범 회장은 “군포역전시장 사례처럼 2024년 첫걸음기반조성 사업에 선정되기 위해 노력하고 있다”며, 당동로시장을 찾는 고객들을 위해 아치형 간판 설치 및 고객센터 설치를 요청했다.

정윤경 의원은 “현장에 계시는 골목상권 상인들의 제안과 진흥원을 비롯한 경기도의 지원 정책들이 효과적으로 결합해 지역의 상권이 활성화되고, 이를 통해 지역 경제가 살아나 지역의 일자리 및 인구 증가로 확대되는 선순환 구조가 만들어져야 할 것”이라며, “경기도와 군포시가 서로 소통해 시장이 지속적으로 역할을 다하고 지역주민의 자랑이 될 수 있도록 도에서 역할을 다 하겠다”고 말했다.
