경기도가 수원시와 ‘수원 바이오산업 클러스터’를 이끌고 갈 컨트롤타워를 구축하기로 합의했다.

경기도는 지난 8월 2일 경기도청에서 수원시와 ‘수원 바이오산업 클러스터 조성 연석회의’를 열고, 수원 광교를 중심으로 한 바이오산업 등 클러스터 생태계 구축을 위한 협력방안에 대해 논의하고, ‘수원 바이오산업 클러스터’를 이끌고 갈 컨트롤타워를 구축하기로 합의했다.

경기도는 이번 회의를 통해 도출된 기관별 협력사항 등을 정리해 그동안 경기도와 수원시에서 각자 추진 중인 사업을 통합해 하나의 마스터플랜을 수립한 후, 각 기관별로 역할을 나누고 체계적으로 추진하는 데도 뜻을 모았다.

염태영 경기도 경제부지사 주재로 이민우 투자통상과장, 한태성 바이오산업과장, 이상균 수원시 기업유치단장, 김지웅 경기주택도시공사 판매총괄처장 등 13명이 참석한 이날 회의에서 경기도는 바이오산업 등 생태계 구축을 위해 ‘광교 바이오 혁신벨트(舊 황우석 부지) 개발현황’과 ‘광교테크노밸리 등 2개 유휴부지 활용방안’에 대한 의견을 제시했다.

수원시는 현재 추진 중인 ‘수원광교 바이오클러스터 조성사업’과 ‘수원박물관 인근부지 등 4개 유휴부지 활용방안’에 대해 의견을 개진했다.

참석자들은 성공적인 바이오산업 클러스터 조성을 위해서는 관계기관별 상호협력이 중요하다는 데 공감대를 형성하고 계획 검토 단계부터 기업유치를 위한 최종 부지공급 단계까지 모든 정보를 함께 공유하며 협력하기로 했다.

염태영 경기도 경제부지사는 “경기도와 수원시가 함께 머리를 맞대 명실상부 대한민국을 대표하는 바이오산업 클러스터를 광역산업 육성차원에서 수원에 조성될 수 있는 새로운 기회를 만들 수 있도록 협력을 공고히 하자”고 말했다.

Gyeonggi Province has agreed with Suwon City to build a control tower that will lead the ‘Suwon Bio Industry Cluster’.

On August 2, Gyeonggi-do held a 'Suwon Bio Industry Cluster Creation Conference' with Suwon City at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office, discussed cooperation measures to build a cluster ecosystem such as the bio industry centered on Suwon Gwanggyo, and discussed 'Suwon Bio Industry Cluster ' and agreed to build a control tower to lead it.
