과천시가 지난 3월 7일 오후 시청 상황실에서 ‘2024년 제1회 과천시 소비자정책심의위원회’를 개최해 생활문화센터 사용료, 체육시설 및 체육시설 주차장 사용 요금 등을 결정했다.

과천시 소비자정책심의위원회는 ‘과천시 소비자 기본 조례’ 제27조에 따라 물가 관련 규정의 제정·개정·폐지에 관한 의견 자문 및 시 관여요금 및 사용료·수수료 등의 심의를 조정하는 역할을 맡는다.

과천시 소비자정책심의위원회는 과천시 김동석 경제복지국장을 위원장으로 6명의 내부위원과 10명의 외부위원 등 총 16명의 위원으로 구성됐다.

이날 과천시 소비자정책심의위원회는 ‘과천시 생활문화센터 사용료 변동(안)’, ‘과천시 체육시설 사용료 및 체육시설 주차장 요금(안)’, ‘과천시 일자리센터&50플러스센터 시설 사용료 기준(안)’, ‘과천시 창업지원센터 시설물 사용료 부과(안)’ 등 총 4건의 안건을 심의했다.

소비자정책심의위원회는 생활문화센터 대여 시간조정에 따른 사용료 책정, 실내테니스장 및 체육시설 주차장 요금 신설, 신규 개소한 과천시 일자리센터&50플러스센터의 강의실 및 창원지원센터 공유주방 등 시설 사용료는 1일 1만원~2만원으로 다른 시설과의 형평성을 맞추는 선에서 부과하기로 결정했다.

신계용 과천시장은 “소비자 물가가 상승함에 따라 소비자들이 체감하는 물가 수준은 여전히 높고, 경제 주체 모두가 함께 노력이 필요한 때”라며, “물가안정을 위한 위원 여러분의 각별한 관심을 당부드린다”고 말했다.
