안양시 만안구청(구청장 최광현)이 지난 4월 29일 만안구청 정자에서 ‘만안 철쭉 버스킹’을 진행했다.

박진영 복지문화과 문화체육팀장이 사회를 맡아 진행한 이날 공연은 시종 화기애애한 분위기 속에서 만안구청 직원들을 비롯해 안양시 공무원들로 구성된 출연진들과 주로 만안구청 직원들로 구성된 관객들이 함께 즐기는 축제 한마당이었다.

공연은 풍물패 옛소리의 오프닝 공연으로 시작됐다. 안양시 공무원 풍물패 옛소리의 이날 공연에는 최윤호(만안 지방소득세팀장)‧김병로(안양시청 총무과)‧구난숙(안양시의회 사무국)‧정영란‧이희숙(평생학습원 평생학습과)‧고순주(동안구청 행정지원과)씨가 참여했다. 옛소리는 2003년도에 결성된 이래 20년이 넘는 기간 동안 요양병원, 마을 경로잔치, 정월대보름 축제행사, 안양시 춤축제, 안양시 승격 50주년 축하사절단 환영공연, 중국 북경과 웨이팡시 공연 등 국내외 활동을 이어오고 있다.

세 번째 무대는 김복수 부팀장(안양시 자원순환과)이 노사연의 ‘바램’, 진성의 ‘보릿고개’를 색소폰으로 연주해 관객들의 어깨를 들썩들썩하게 했다. 김 부팀장은 색소폰을 취미로만 배우고 있었는데 이날 ‘만안철쭉버스킹’공연 출연자로 섭외 받은 후 휴가까지 내서 맹연습을 했다고 사회자인 박진영 팀장이 멘트를 했다.

다섯 번째이자 이날의 피날레는 만안구 여성합창단이 중창으로 김동진 곡 ‘목련화’, 스페인민요 ‘라밤바’를 율동과 함께 불렀다. 만안구 여성합창단은 1993년 창단한 이래 정기연주회 150회 이상의 찾아가는 공연, 사회복지시설 등 소외계층을 위한 위문공연 등으로 만안구를 대표하는 문화사절단의 역할을 톡톡히 하고 있다.
