이학영 국회의원(더불어민주당, 군포시)이 5월 16일 22대 전반기 더불어민주당 국회 부의장 후보로 선출됐다.

이학영 의원은 국회의장단 선출을 위해 열린 더불어민주당 당선자총회에서 169표 중 과반을 획득해 부의장에 당선됐다. 정확한 득표수는 공개되지 않았다.

이 의원은 4·10 총선 경기 군포에서 4선 의원이 됐다. 민주당 국회부의장 경선에선 마찬가지로 4선 고지에 오른 남인순·민홍철 의원과 경쟁했다.

국회에서는 산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원장, 정무위원회 간사, 더불어민주당 을지로위원회 위원장 등을 역임했으며, 비정규직 노동자, 대-중소기업 상생과 영세상인 지원 등 사회적, 경제적 약자의 권리를 보호하는 의정활동에 집중해왔다.
