군포시가 시민의견을 반영해 올 6월 국토교통부 승인 신청과 노후역사 개량사업을 추진하는 한국철도공사와 금정역 통합개발에 대한 사업시행 협약을 체결할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
군포시는 지난 5월 24일 오후 시청에서 시민설명회를 열어 ‘금정역 일원 종합개발 기본구상안 및 역사 통합 개발안’ 사업추진 과정에서부터 시민 참여와 정보를 공유하고 시민의견을 청취했다.
시민설명회는 하은호 시장, 이길호 군포시의장, 이학영 국회의원, 지역구 도·시의원, 시민 약 150명이 참석해 금정역 일원 종합개발 기본구상안과 기본구상안의 1단계 사업인 금정역사 통합 개발안을 설명하고 의견을 청취하는 질의응답 순서로 진행됐다.
군포시가 밝힌 금정역 일원 종합개발 기본구상안은 △1단계 금정역 통합 개발+환승체계 개선, △2단계 복합환승센터 건립 추진, △3단계 경부선 지하화 대비 단계별 추진을 내용으로 하고 있다.
군포시는 금정역 통합 개발과 관련해서는 △통합 개발 대안, △대안별 타당성 검토, △디자인 안을 제시했다. 특히 경기 남부권 역사의 랜드마크가 될 수 있도록 금정역 부근 안양천, 산본천이 합류하는 지리적 특성과 주요사업인 산본천 복원사업과 조화될 수 있는 디자인으로 최적의 안을 제시했다.
군포시는 이번 시민설명회를 통해 제출된 시민의견을 반영해 올 6월 국토교통부 승인 신청과 노후역사 개량사업을 추진하는 한국철도공사와 금정역 통합개발에 대한 사업시행 협약을 체결할 계획이다.

Gunpo City announced that it plans to apply for approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in June this year, reflecting citizens' opinions, and sign a business implementation agreement for the integrated development of Geumjeong Station with the Korea Railroad Corporation, which is promoting the old station improvement project.
Gunpo City held a citizen information session at City Hall on the afternoon of May 24 to share citizen participation and information and listen to citizen opinions from the process of carrying out the ‘Geumjeong Station Comprehensive Development Basic Plan and Station Integrated Development Plan’ project.
The citizens' briefing session was attended by Mayor Ha Eun-ho, Gunpo City Chairman Lee Gil-ho, National Assembly member Lee Hak-young, local provincial and city council members, and about 150 citizens to explain and listen to opinions on the basic plan for the comprehensive development of the Geumjeong Station area and the Geumjeong Station integrated development plan, which is the first stage of the basic plan. It was carried out in order.
The basic plan for the comprehensive development of the Geumjeong Station area announced by Gunpo City includes △Phase 1 integrated development of Geumjeong Station + improvement of the transfer system, △Promotion of building a complex transfer center in Phase 2, and △Phase 3 promotion in preparation for undergrounding the Gyeongbu Line.
Regarding the integrated development of Geumjeong Station, Gunpo City presented △integrated development alternatives, △feasibility review for each alternative, and △design plan. In particular, we presented an optimal design with a design that harmonizes with the geographical characteristics of the confluence of Anyang Stream and Sanbon Stream near Geumjeong Station and the main project, the Sanbon Stream Restoration Project, so that it can become a historical landmark in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province.
