안양시(시장 최대호)·안양지역건축사회(회장 김재정) 주최, 안양시건축문화제추진위원회(위원장 김길용) 주관으로 열린 안양건축문화제가 성황리에 마무리 됐다. 안양시는 지난 10월 14일, 5일부터 12일까지 8일 동안 안양시 김중업건축박물관 일원에서 열린 ‘2024 안양건축문화제’가 총 5,400여명이 참여한 가운데 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

안양지역건축사회는 안양, 군포, 의왕, 과천 지역의 건축사들의 모임으로 회원은 180여명으로 구성돼 있다. 안양지역건축사회는 안양시가 건축문화적 가치가 우수하고 아름다운 도시경관을 조성하는데 기여해 보다 아름답고 품격있는 도시가 되도록 하기 위해 ‘Anyang Art City 21’ 프로젝트를 추진하고 있으며, 그 일환으로 2003년도부터 ‘아름다운 건축물’ 부문과 ‘계획부분’의 입상작품 및 참가작품을 선정·전시하는 건축문화상을 개최해왔다. 2018년부터는 안양시 건축문화상을 안양건축문화제로 확대, 격년으로 개최하고 있다. 이진건축사사무소 이재진 건축사를 단장으로, 에이엔오건축사사무소 오숙경 대표를 부단장으로 ‘60주년기념행사 사업단’을 꾸려 2025년 안양지역 건축사회 창립 60주년 기념행사를 준비 중에 있다.

안양지역건축사회가 네 번째 개최하는 이번 안양건축문화제에서는 안양시 건축문화상 시상 및 특수학교(급) 학생 건축물 그리기 대회 수상작 전시 등 다양한 건축 작품 전시와 공연이 한 자리에 펼쳐져 관람객의 눈길을 끌었다.

지난 9일 오후 1시부터 진행된 개막식에서는 성결대 응원단 페가수스의 힘찬 치어리딩 무대에 이어 ‘꽃실’ 김영남 서예가의 붓글씨 공연, 경기도건축사합창단의 공연이 진행됐다.

이어 개최된 시상식에서는 아름다운 건축물 사용승인(일반부) 부문과 건축설계・도시계획・건축창작(학생부) 등 4개 부문에서 수상한 25개팀과 안양시 특수학교(급) 학생 그리기 대회 수상자 8개팀에 대한 시상이 진행됐다.

또 부대행사로 진행된 ‘아름다운 안양 그리기 대회’에는 160여명의 유치원생・초등학생이 참여해 그림 솜씨를 뽐냈다.

김중업건축박물관을 리모델링한 박제유 건축사, 포르투갈의 유명 건축가 알바로 시자가 설계한 안양파빌리온의 한국 협력 설계자 박영일 건축사와 함께한 건축문화 답사 프로그램에 다양한 계층의 관람객 80여명이 참여해 안양의 건축물에 대해 깊이 있게 이해하는 시간을 가졌다.

특히 ‘이야기로 집을 짓다’는 주제로 진행된 임형남 건축사의 강연(10월 5일)과 천주교수원교구중앙성당(만안구 장내로)을 설계한 김영섭 건축사와 함께하는 현장 답사(10월 8일)도 인기가 높았다.

최대호 안양시장은 축사에서 “국내 최초의 건축 전문 공립박물관인 김중업건축박물관에서 건축문화제를 개최에 시민들이 참여할 수 있는 의미있는 행사”라며 “앞으로도 건축을 통해 미래 세대에 꿈과 희망을 주는 기회의 장이 마련되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Around 80 visitors from various classes participated in the architectural culture tour program with architect Park Je-yu, who remodeled the Kim Joong-up Architecture Museum, and architect Park Young-il, the Korean collaborating designer of the Anyang Pavilion designed by the famous Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza, and had a time to gain a deeper understanding of Anyang’s architecture. In particular, the lecture by architect Lim Hyeong-nam (October 5) on the topic of “Building a House with Stories” and the on-site tour with architect Kim Yeong-seop (October 8), who designed the Catholic Diocese of Gyosuwon (Jangnae-ro, Manan-gu), were also popular.
