안양과천교육지원청(교육장 이승희)이 지난 12월 9일 대회의실에서 영유아 및 초등학교 특수교육대상학생의 보호자 50여명을 대상으로 ‘행복한 동행. 장애학생의 성공적 사회통합을 위한 특수교육 설명회’를 개최했다.

안양과천교육지원청은 이날 설명회에서 특수교육대상자가 영‧유아에서 전공과 시기까지 받게 되는 특수교육교육과정과 개별화교육, 관련 서비스 및 안양과천의 교육 프로그램 등을 세부적으로 안내하고, 질의응답을 통해 보호자의 궁금증 해소를 위해 노력했다. 아울러 보호자의 자녀 교육에 대한 건의 사항을 수렴, 2025학년도 특수교육 운영에 반영할 계획이다.

이번 설명회는 특수교육대상자의 보호자에게 개별화교육을 포함한 특수교육의 종합적인 안내를 제공하고, 자녀의 교육과 성장에 대한 보호자의 불안감을 해소하며, 공교육에 대한 신뢰도를 제고하기 위해 마련됐다.

설명회에 참석한 한 보호자는 “장애 자녀를 어떻게 가르쳐야 할지 막연하고, 걱정이 컸는데 이번 설명회를 통해 자녀의 교육에 대해 이해할 수 있는 좋은 시간이었다”며, “교육지원청에서 이렇게 적극적으로 안내해주고, 부모의 이야기를 들어주어서 혼자가 아니라는 생각을 하게 됐다”고 말했다.

이승희 교육장은 “장애학생이 행복하게 성장을 할 수 있도록 가정과 함께하며, 모두가 존중받는 맞춤형 특수교육을 실현하도록 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Special education briefing session for successful social integration of disabled students’ in the conference room for about 50 guardians of infants, toddlers, and elementary school special education students.
