보건복지부 지정 척추전문병원 안양윌스기념병원(병원장 이동찬)이 건강보험심사평가원(이하 심평원)이 실시한 ‘수술의 예방적 항생제 사용평가’에서 척추수술 부문 1등급을 획득했다고 지난 12월 20일 밝혔다.

심평원은 지난 2007년부터 의료기관의 수술 관련 항생제 사용 실태를 파악, 수술 시 기준에 부합하는 항생제를 적절한 기간 동안 사용하도록 하여 수술 부위 감염 예방 및 항생제의 오·남용을 방지하기 위해 수술의 예방적 항생제 사용평가를 실시해 왔다. 평가를 통해 요양기관의 의료 질 향상을 도모하는 것은 물론, 국민에게 의료서비스 이용에 필요한 정보를 제공해 보다 효과적이고 안전한 의료서비스를 누릴 수 있도록 지원한다.

안양윌스기념병원은 18개의 주요 수술을 대상으로 항생제 투여 시기, 항생제 선택, 투여 기간 등 여러 항목에 대한 평가에서 척추수술 부문에서 90점 이상의 우수한 성적을 기록하며 1등급을 획득했다.
