안양1동(동장 정은경)이 크리스마스 이브인 지난 12월 24일 안양일번가에서 청소년들의 일탈행위를 예방하기 위한 청소년 선도 캠페인 및 야간방범 순찰활동을 실시했다.

이번 캠페인에는 안양1동 직원을 비롯, 자율방범대원 야간순찰조, 청소년지도협의회원 및 자율방재단원 등 관내 사회단체 회원 20여명이 참여했다. 이번 캠페인은 민방위훈련 전대원 교육이수 달성을 위한 민방위대원 자율참여 훈련과도 연계해 실시했다.

안양일번가는 만안구의 대표적인 중심 상업지역이며 안양역과 연결되는 교통의 요충지로 청소년 및 대학생 등의 유동인구가 많은 곳이다.

이번 캠페인은 입시철과 겨울방학을 맞아 각종 일탈행위에 빠지기 쉬운 청소년들을 선도하기 위해 밤 9시부터 안양일번가 및 안양지하상가 주변을 돌며 청소년들의 비행과 탈선을 사전에 예방하는 선도활동 위주로 진행됐다.

정은경 안양1동장은 “청소년들을 유해환경으로부터 보호하고 안전한 지역사회를 만들기 위해 이번에 처음으로 사회단체 합동 캠페인과 순찰활동을 실시했다”며, “앞으로도 지속적으로 캠페인을 실시하겠다”고 말했다.
