지난해 12월 30일 최광현 안양시 만안구청장의 퇴임식에 맞춰 안양1동 마을신문인 일동애신문 편집위원회가 만안구청을 방문해 일동애신문 16호에 실린 최광현 구청장의 사진을 액자에 담아 퇴임 선물로 전달했다.

이 자리에서 일동애신문 기자인 본지 진교연 시민기자는 “재임기간 안양1동의 취약계층, 영세상인, 자영업자, 중소기업 등 다양한 계층의 애로사항을 귀담아듣고 작은 목소리도 경청해 구민과 적극소통하면서 각종불편 사항을 해결하고 특히, 안양1동의 마을신문인 일동애신문에 대해 관심과 격려를 해주셔서 감사하다”고 말했다.

31일 퇴임한 최광현 구청장은 “여러 가지 어려운 상황에도 안양1동의 각종소식을 전하고 주민들과 소통하는 역할을 하는 일동애신문의 지속성과 발전을 기원하고 편집위원회의 노고에 감사드린다”고 전했다.

일동애신문 16호(2024년 7월 31일자)에는 최광현 구청장이 재임하면서 그가 지녔던 마음가짐과 철학 등을 담은 인터뷰기사가 실려 있다. 최 구청장은 안양1동 마을신문에 대해 남다른 관심과 애정을 갖고 있었다.

Ildongae Shinmun Editorial Committee Presents Souvenir to Retired Manan-gu Mayor Choi Gwang-hyeon

On December 30th last year, in line with the retirement ceremony of Anyang City Manan-gu Mayor Choi Gwang-hyeon, the Ildongae Shinmun Editorial Committee, Anyang 1-dong’s local newspaper, visited Manan-gu Office and presented a framed photo of Mayor Choi Gwang-hyeon from the 16th issue of Ildongae Shinmun as a retirement gift.

At the event, Jin Gyo-yeon, a citizen reporter for Ildongae Shinmun, said, “During your term, you listened to the difficulties of various classes of people in Anyang 1-dong, including vulnerable groups, small business owners, self-employed people, and small and medium-sized enterprises, and actively communicated with residents to resolve various inconveniences. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude for your interest and encouragement for Ildongae Shinmun, Anyang 1-dong’s local newspaper.” Mayor Choi Gwang-hyeon, who resigned on the 31st, said, “I hope that the Ildongae Shinmun, which delivers various news from Anyang 1-dong and plays a role in communicating with residents despite various difficult situations, will continue to develop and I would like to thank the editorial committee for their hard work.” The 16th issue of Ildongae Shinmun (dated July 31, 2024) contains an interview article about Mayor Choi Gwang-hyeon’s mindset and philosophy while in office. Mayor Choi had a special interest in and affection for the Anyang 1-dong village newspaper.
