군포시(시장 하은호) 군포국민체육센터가 대한장애인체육회와 문화체육관광부가 추진하는 ‘2024년 장애인친화 공공체육시설 선정사업’ 평가 결과 최우수 시설로 선정됐다. 군포시는 지난 12월 17일 대한장애인체육회 이천 선수촌에서 열린 시상식에서 문화체육관광부 장관 표창 및 우수시설 인증 동판을 수상했다.

군포국민체육센터는 지난해 국민체육진흥공단이 주최하고 문화체육관광부에서 주관한 ‘2023년 우수 공공체육시설 선정’에서도 최우수 공공체육시설로 선정된 바 있다.

‘2024년 장애인친화 공공체육시설 선정사업’은 체육시설에 대한 장애인의 접근성을 제고하고 우수시설 사례를 홍보함으로써 장애인 친화적 체육활동 환경의 확산을 유도하기 위한 사업으로 전국의 생활체육시설 및 전문체육시설 중 군포국민체육센터가 최우수 수상의 영예를 안았다.

군포국민체육센터는 올해 장애인 친화 공공체육시설 최우수 수상으로 명실공히 최고의 공공체육시설임을 다시 한 번 입증받았다.

하은호 군포시장은 “이번 장애인친화 공공체육시설 최우수 수상은 장애인 평생학습도시 선정에 이어 그 동안 우리시에서 추진해 온 장애인 친화 정책이 이룬 성과라고 생각한다. 앞으로도 지속적인 관심을 통해 군포시가 장애인 관련 정책을 선도하는 도시로 발전할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Receives Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and Bronze Plate for Excellent Facility Certification

Gunpo City (Mayor Ha Eun-ho) Gunpo National Sports Center was selected as the best facility in the evaluation of the ‘2024 Disabled-Friendly Public Sports Facility Selection Project’ promoted by the Korea Paralympic Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Gunpo City received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and Bronze Plate for Excellent Facility Certification at the awards ceremony held at the Korea Paralympic Committee Icheon Athletes’ Village on December 17.

Gunpo National Sports Center was also selected as the best public sports facility in the ‘2023 Excellent Public Sports Facility Selection’ hosted by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism last year. The '2024 Disabled-Friendly Public Sports Facility Selection Project' is a project to promote the expansion of a disabled-friendly sports activity environment by improving disabled people's accessibility to sports facilities and promoting excellent facility examples.
