안양시 범계중학교(교장 박경숙)가 지난해 12월 24일 범계문화홀에서 학생, 학부모, 교직원, 지역사회 인사 1,000여 명이 참석한 가운데 2024 지역 나눔축제 송년음악회를 개최했다.

이번 송년음악회는 1,2,3학년으로 이루어진 오케스트라 동아리 ‘칸타빌레’가 주축이 돼 개최됐다.

동아리 ‘칸타빌레’는 피아노, 바이올린, 첼로, 플릇, 클라리넷, 드럼으로 이루어진 소규모 오케스트라로서 2022년 초연을 시작으로 3회째 공연을 준비해왔다.

지휘자 정경빈을 초빙하여 라라랜드(LaLa Land) OST, 오페라유령 등 7곡의 협연이 이루어지고 성악가 바리톤 이상열과 함께 모두가 합창하며 송년의 아쉬움과 서로의 따뜻함과 배려를 느끼며 새해를 맞는 희망을 노래하는 시간을 가졌다.

박세빈(2학년) 칸타빌레 동아리 기장은 “친구들, 선생님, 지역주민들의 박수와 환호를 받아서 행복했다”며, “모두 하나가 되는 하모니를 만드는 시간이 된 것 같아 뿌듯하다”고 공연 소감을 밝혔다.

학교의 한 관계자는 “공연을 관람한 범계공동체와 지역사회가 화합하고 소통하는 기회가 됐다”며, “서로에게 따뜻한 덕담과 겨울나는데 힘을 주는 시간이 됐다. 공연을 2025년에도 지속적으로 펼쳐나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Anyang City Beomgye Middle School (Principal Park Kyung-sook) held the 2024 Regional Sharing Festival Year-End Concert at Beomgye Cultural Hall on December 24th last year, with about 1,000 students, parents, faculty, and community members in attendance.

This year-end concert was led by the orchestra club ‘Cantabile’, which consists of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders.

The club ‘Cantabile’ is a small orchestra consisting of piano, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, and drums, and has been preparing for its third performance since its premiere in 2022.

Conductor Jeong Kyung-bin was invited to perform 7 songs including LaLa Land OST and Phantom of the Opera, and baritone Lee Sang-yeol sang together with everyone to feel the regret of the end of the year and the warmth and consideration for each other, and to sing the hope for the new year.

Park Se-bin (2nd year), the captain of the Cantabile Club, said, “I was happy to receive applause and cheers from my friends, teachers, and local residents,” and “I am proud that it was a time to create harmony that unites everyone.”
