국회 이학영 부의장(더불어민주당, 군포)이 “쿠팡의 설 명절 종사자 보호 대책이 다른 택배사들과 비교해 현저히 미흡하다”고 지적했다.

이학영 의원실은 국토부가 제출한 자료를 근거로 “CJ대한통운·한진·로젠택배·롯데택배는 2025년 설 연휴 3일간 전면 휴무를 시행해 노동자들의 쉼을 보장할 계획이나 쿠팡은 주간 택배기사 주 1회, 야간 택배기사 주 2일이라는 기존의 최소 휴무 일정을 유지하며 별도의 명절 특별 휴무 계획은 없다”는 사실을 밝혀냈다.

이학영 부의장은 “다른 택배사 노동자들은 명절 기간 가족과 함께 시간을 보낼 수 있지만, 쿠팡의 노동자들은 꿈조차 꿀 수 없는 실정”이라고 비판했다.

심지어 쿠팡은 영업일을 실제보다 축소해 정부에 제출했다. 다른 택배사들이 명절 기간(28~30일)에 휴업한다고 명확히 명시한 것과 달리, 쿠팡은 휴무일을 명시하지 않고 영업일을 23일로만 제출했다. 특별관리기간(1.13~2.7)이 총 26일임에도 마치 3일간 휴무가 있는 것처럼 보이게 했다.

명절 기간 노동 강도도 더욱 가혹해질 전망이다. 쿠팡의 명절 예상 물량은 1억 5,400만 박스로, 이는 택배사 평균 5775만 박스의 2.7배에 달한다. 쿠팡의 분류인력 1인당 처리 물량은 17,897박스로, 타사 평균 7,927박스의 2.26배 수준이다. 또한, 쿠팡 택배기사와 동승 인원의 1인당 처리 물량은 6,912박스로, 타사 평균 3,900박스보다 1.77배 많아 명절 기간 쿠팡 노동자들의 업무가 한층 가중될 것으로 보인다.
