안양시의회 장명희 보사환경위원장(더불어민주당, 안양가)이 지난 2월 13일 의회 시민토론방에서 안양시 관련 부서 직원들과 가족돌봄 아동·청소년 지원 조례 제정을 위한 간담회를 개최했다.

가족돌봄 아동·청소년의 생활안정과 복지증진을 위한 지원 조례 제정을 앞두고 실무 협의를 위해 개최된 이번 간담회에는 안양시 복지정책과·아동과·교육청소년과 직원들과 초록우산어린이재단 여인미 경기지역본부장 등이 함께했다.

이날 안양시 가족돌봄 청소년이 참석, 직접 겪은 경험을 바탕으로 현장의 목소리를 전달했으며, 시 관련 부서와 초록어린이재단은 복지 사각지대에서 지원이 필요한 가족돌봄 아동·청소년을 위한 실효성 있는 조례 제정 방안 등을 깊게 논의했다.

여인미 본부장은 “가족돌봄 아동과 청소년들은 지역사회의 협력이 없으면 발굴이 어렵다”며 “발굴 사각지대를 찾고 지원체계를 연결해주는 시스템이 필요하다”고 강조했다.

장명희 위원장은 “지난달 1차 간담회에 이어 이번 실무협의를 통해 가족돌봄 아동·청소년 지원을 위한 제도적 기반 마련이 한층 더 구체화됐다”며, “관련 부서와 긴밀한 협의를 통해 3월에 개최되는 제301회 임시회에 조례안을 상정할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
