군포시가 2년 연속으로 교육부 국립특수교육원이 주관한 ‘2025년 장애인 평생학습도시 운영 사업’ 공모에 선정돼 국비 5,500만원을 확보했다.
군포시는 지난해 장애인 평생학습도시로 신규 선정돼 14개 기관과 업무협약을 통해 네트워크를 구축하고, 26개 장애 유형별 맞춤형 평생교육 프로그램을 운영한 성과를 인정받아 2년 연속 공모 사업에 선정됐다.
군포시는 이번 공모 선정으로 확보한 국비를 포함 총사업비 1억1,000만원으로 관내 장애인 평생학습기관과 연계한 다양한 사업을 추진할 계획이다.
군포시는 ‘장애인과 비장애인이 함께 평생학습으로 소통·참여·변화하는 교육문화 도시 군포’를 비전으로 △장애 유형별 특화 프로그램 △장애·비장애 통합교육 △장애인식개선 △장애인 평생교육 관계자 역량강화 연수 등 총 28개 사업을 운영할 계획이다.
교육부는 장애인 평생교육 활성화와 평생학습을 통한 사회통합을 위해 장애인 평생학습도시 사업을 추진하고 있다.
하은호 군포시장은 “우리 군포시가 2년 연속 장애인 평생학습도시로 선정되어 그동안 구축해온 장애인 평생교육 기반을 더욱 견고히 다질 수 있게 됐다”며 “장애인의 평생학습권 보장과 장애 친화적 평생학습 여건 조성을 위해 더욱 힘쓰겠다”라고 말했다.
