신계용 과천시장이 2월 19일 오전 ‘더 플라자호텔 서울’에서 K행정 리더십 부문 ‘2025 K-브랜드 어워즈’를 수상했다.

신계용 과천시장은 과천시를 행정도시에서 첨단산업 중심의 활력 넘치는 도시로 변화시키는데 행정력을 집중, 탁월한 추진력과 리더십을 바탕으로 핵심 사업을 차질 없이 추진한 공을 인정받아 이 상을 수상했다.

과천시는 올해 6월 준공을 앞두고 있는 과천지식정보타운에 IT, 신소재, 의약 분야 등의 첨단산업 기반 기업들이 입주하며 자족도시로의 기반을 탄탄하게 다져나가고 있다.

Mayor Shin Kye-yong of Gwacheon City focused his administrative power on transforming Gwacheon City from an administrative city to a vibrant city centered on cutting-edge industries, and received this award in recognition of his outstanding driving force and leadership to push forward core businesses without a hitch.

The K-Brand Awards, hosted by TV Chosun, are an award to promote and support the excellence of representative Korean brands, and are given to companies, organizations, and brands that have contributed to the development of the national economy.

Gwacheon City is solidifying its foundation as a self-sufficient city by attracting cutting-edge industries such as IT, new materials, and medicine to Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, which is scheduled to be completed in June of this year.
