과천시가 행정안전부 주관 ‘2024년 데이터기반 행정 평가’에서 최고 등급인 ‘우수’를 달성했다.
과천시는 △데이터 분석 및 활용 △데이터 공유 △데이터 관리체계 등 3개 영역에서 고르게 우수한 성적을 거두며 데이터기반 행정 역량을 인정받았다.
특히 시 홈페이지 이용자 현황 분석, 방범용 CCTV 우선 설치 지역 도출, 과천시 장래인구 예측 분석 등 다양한 데이터 기반 정책이 우수한 평가를 받았다.
행정안전부는 2021년부터 행정·공공기관의 데이터기반행정 전반에 대한 이행 수준을 평가하고 있다. 올해는 중앙행정기관(46개), 광역자치단체(17개), 기초자치단체(226개), 공기업‧준정부기관(87개), 지방공기업(46개), 기타공공기관(240개), 시도교육청(17개) 등 679 기관을 대상으로 △데이터 공유, △데이터 분석·활용, △관리체계 등 3개 영역 10개 세부지표를 점검해 지난 2월 14일 그 결과를 발표했다.
‘데이터기반 행정’은 데이터를 수집·분석해 정책 수립과 의사결정에 활용하여 보다 객관적이고 과학적인 행정을 구현하는 것을 의미한다.
신계용 과천시장은 “시민이 체감할 수 있도록 맞춤형 공공서비스를 제공하기 위해 데이터 기반의 능동적이고 신뢰할 수 있는 행정서비스를 지속적으로 제공하겠다”라고 말했다.
한편, 과천시는 올해 기업정보, 유동인구 등 민간 데이터를 활용한 빅데이터 분석을 통해 지식정보타운 내 주요 현안을 해결하고, 향후 정책 수립에 필요한 기초 데이터를 확보할 예정이다.

Gwacheon City achieved the highest grade of ‘Excellent’ in the ‘2024 Data-based Administration Evaluation’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Gwacheon City was recognized for its data-based administration capabilities by consistently achieving excellent results in 3 areas including △data analysis and utilization △data sharing △data management system.
In particular, various data-based policies such as analysis of city homepage user status, derivation of priority installation areas for crime prevention CCTV, and analysis of Gwacheon City’s future population prediction received excellent evaluations.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been evaluating the implementation level of data-based administration in general by administrative and public institutions since 2021.
