안양천 지방정원이 집중조성구간, 일반조성구간, 보완조성구간으로 나뉘어 특화하며, 하천 본래의 치수 목적 유지를 위해 대규모 시설 설치는 지양될 것으로 보인다.

군포·안양·의왕·광명시는 지난 3월 20일 오후 광명시청에서 이 같은 내용을 담은 ‘안양천 지방정원 조성사업 기본 및 실시 설계용역’ 최종보고회를 개최한데 이어 ‘도시의 경계를 넘어 하나 되는 안양천 시민정원’ 비전을 선포했다.
