더불어민주당 경기도당(위원장 김승원)이 지난 3월 18일 오후 경기도당 대회의실에서 2025년 신입 및 권리당원 교육 ‘어서 와! 당원 활동은 처음이지?’를 개최했다.

당원 120명이 참석한 가운데 개최된 이번 교육은 당원들에게 더불어민주당의 역사와 가치를 공유하고, 당원의 권리와 의무를 명확히 이해시키기 위해 마련됐다.

첫 번째 강연에 나선 영화배우 이원종씨는 ‘시민의 힘으로 내란을 종식하고 민주주의 가치를 실천하는 방법’을 주제로 “민주주의는 시민의 참여로 완성된다. 국가의 명운이 걸려있는 시기, 민주당원이 적극적으로 정치에 참여해 대한민국과 민주주의를 지켜야 한다”고 강조했다.

두 번째 강연에서 추미애 의원(하남시갑)은 ‘더불어민주당의 역사와 가치, 그리고 당원의 권리와 의무’를 주제로 “민주당의 역사는 국민과 함께한 민주주의의 역사이며, 당원 한명 한명이 당의 주체로서 역할을 다해야 한다”고 강조했다.

김승원 경기도당위원장(수원시갑)은 인사말에서 “경기도당의 최우선 목표는 당원주권 시대의 실현”이라며, “당원의 역량 강화는 곧 당원주권의 발전이자 정당의 성장이다. 당원과 함께 성장하며 당원주권 시대를 실현해 나가는 경기도당이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.

더불어민주당 경기도당은 3월 20일에는 신한대학교 의정부캠퍼스에서 경기북부 당원을 대상으로 한 2차 교육을 진행했다. 이날 강연에는 영화배우 이원종씨와 정성호 의원(동두천·양주·연천군갑)이 참여했다.
