경기도의회 교육기획위원회 김현석 의원(국민의힘, 과천)이 지난 3월 25일 경기도의회 과천상담소에서 ‘2025년 제2회 과천교육현안 관련 경기도의원 정담회’를 개최해 과천지식정보타운 내 (가칭)과천지식3중 신설 추진 방안을 논의했다.

현재 과천지식3중은 지난 2월 경기도교육청 자체 재정투자심사위원회 심의를 통과하며 본격적인 설립 추진에 속도를 낼 것으로 기대됐으나, 녹지보존을 둘러싼 환경부와 국토교통부 간의 의견 차이로 지구계획 변경 고시가 지연되고 있는 상황.
