경기도의회 도시환경위원회 김옥순 의원(더불어민주당, 비례)이 지난 3월 24일 의왕~과천 고속도로 굴다리를 방문해 안전관리 실태를 점검하고, 동행한 의왕시 관계자들과 보행자 안전대책 방안을 논의했다.

청계맑은숲 먹거리마을에 위치한 의왕~과천 고속도로 굴다리 보행로는 인근 주민과 보행자들의 통행이 잦은 곳으로, 도로 노후화 및 시설 개선 요구가 지속적으로 제기돼 왔다.

이 지역은 노후된 가벽과 어두운 조명으로 시야 확보가 어려워 보행자 안전 확보를 위한 신속하고 적극적인 조치가 요구돼왔다.

이날 현장에는 의왕시 기획예산과, 도로건설과, 경기남부도로주식회사 시설팀 관계자들이 참석, 굴다리 보행로의 환경 개선 필요성을 확인하고 안전 강화를 위한 구체적인 대책을 함께 고민했다.

김옥순 의원은 “굴다리 내부의 어두운 조명과 노후된 가벽으로 인해 주민들이 불편을 겪고 있는 만큼 정비 개선이 시급하다”며, “의왕시 및 관계기관과 협력해 실질적인 개선이 이루어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

김옥순 의원은 현장 방문 이후에도 지속적인 점검을 통해 도민의 불편을 최소화하고, 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 보행 환경을 조성을 위해 노력하겠다고 밝혔다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Urban Environment Committee Member Kim Ok-soon (Democratic Party of Korea, proportional representation) visited the Uiwang-Gwacheon Expressway overpass on March 24 to inspect safety management status and discuss pedestrian safety measures with Uiwang City officials who accompanied her.

The Uiwang-Gwacheon Expressway overpass, located in the Cheonggye Clear Forest Food Village, is a place where nearby residents and pedestrians frequently pass by, and there have been continuous calls for road aging and facility improvement.

This area has difficulty securing visibility due to old partition walls and dark lighting, so prompt and active measures have been required to ensure pedestrian safety.
